There are solid mounts to replace the two tear drops at the front, the two brackets at the footwell and the two tower mounts.
It stiffens up the front of the car. Important because the front of your car won't be metal any more!

As opposed to the rubber/poly that's already there.

Your meant to fit brace bars to a car that is having the flip front conversion, Ive not heard of people using solid mounts just because of a flip front. The brace bars are there to replace the strength that is lost when removing the front panels.

But yeah I won't be needing the tear drops at the front because I'm either bolting/welding the brace bars there.

You would've noticed how much my mind changes about my mini over the past 64 pages

Best of luck with yours buddy, just gotta bite the bullet and start poking with a screwdriver

Convoluted tubing to tidy up the wires under the front flip & some 'novice' decals for the boot, once it's done! MK1 double skin FG with swinging numberplate I think

& not much else to update really.. due to 'unforeseen circumstances' I'm no longer getting the Revolutions.. had to shell out for other things not to do with my mini, for once! but then after some complications & coming across money from elsewhere, I've now agreed on the sale of these.. *waiting to insert items here, the bloke has other buyers interested, so I'm waiting for him to get back to me*

Oh and I was pondering earlier.. might just spray my whole exterior in grey primer, wouldn't be much original Racing Green left after I've finished tarting up the bodywork! & the whole grey all over look would look fantastic with the Retro/rally style

Oh and oh, Dad brought home the 5/16th Socket & some more axle stands from Grandads, so next chance I get I'll be removing the subby & engine

Good times.

On other news

These are mine after tonight!

They are down in London so my uncle is picking them up for me and he'll bring them up next time he's 'home'.
Bad news is I spent all my wages after one weekend, so no shiny bits until I get paid again

Those wheels are gorgeous, and wrapped in A008's no less! They're going to my weapon of choice on my wheels too

Tires need replacing unfortunately, but I was either going to replace them with another set of 008s or 032s, but 032s wear quite fast I think.. I'll see what money allows when I get round to it. And they are 6 inches wide, nice and fat

Yeah I'm in the same boat tyre wise, decided on A008's because of the cost and wear factors, plus apparantly the 032R's are suicide in anything but dry conditions, and on a daily drive, we have to remember this is the UK, it's never really dry!
I wish they made exactons in 6", but I'm sure I'll live with 5"

You've inspired me to go and do another coat of paint stripper on my rims
