I actually don't understand this....

:teehee:

There actually isn't anything we can do to stop this is there? >_<|

I think I'm going to have to employ an armed midget to live in my boot to look after my mini >_<

What scares me is what I would do if I caught them doing it to my mini. I know violence doesn’t solve anything but I honestly don’t think I would have a choice in the matter. It would be a true testament to what one person seeing red could be capable of.

We were discussing this at work the other day. My uncle had a friend who caught someone burgling his house. He beat seven bells of poo out of him, then locked him in the coal cellar for three days. Every morning before work he gave him another hiding and locked him back up ;)

Theres a lot to be said for the Tony Martin approach....

Poor bloke. Poor GT. :)

I would cry & cry & cry & cry & cry until my eyeballs had dessicated & my heart had shrivelled if somebody did that to mine. :)

Tell him he can come down south & play with mine if he wants to.

;)

I'm sure lots of blokes would like to 'come down south and play with yours' Juju...... :) ;)

Sorry

I'm still in disbelief at the whole thing really, why pick on that car out of a whole street? Similar horrible things were happening in my parent's quiet village recently. It turned out some local yobs had found out there was an old guy living in the village, who was on the sex offenders register..... so they went round burning all the cars of people who looked like him :) :dontgetit:

I forgive you. :) Ladies first in the queue, though, please......

Well, we never worked out why the little darlings torched my panda 4x4 either. > Maybe they pick on what they consider to be the oldest or the least likely to have an alarm that might alert unwanted attention? :ermm:

Yeah I guess so, it was the same with my brother's mini..... it was stolen on Boxing Day years ago, it had all his Christmas pressies in the boot ready to take home and had just been fitted with his lovely rare alloy wheels. They drove it round the corner into a field, took the wheels and stuff from the boot and torched it. We found a rusty mess a few days later :)

What a shame. poor guy. i think jealousy comes into this alot. im still fairly new to the forum and i must say that i find the amount of posts concerning vandalism alarming :)

i agree with ferrit. this particular case is just one of the many symptoms perculiar to a degenerative socieity on the downward spiral.
you dont have to look very far to see what sort of country we are living in- if you dont fancy walking the streets, just turn on the TV. i think the Jeremy Kyle show illustrates the point quite well. in essence it is a microcosm of 'Great' Britian, in that the people you see on this show are those which form the masses, family after family of yobs, hooligans and mindless lager louts drifting aimlessly through life, consumed by nothing more than trivial matters. in short they are morally and spiritually bankrupt.

so considering that these people make up the bulk of our population, its not really surprising that many people wake up in the morning to discover their property destroyed, items stolen or their beloved classic car a smouldering wreck, and in a sense, this type of behavior can no longer be considered out of the ordinary. in some places, it is quite normal to be assaulted/robbed past a certain time of night and is even to be expected.

i was talking with someone recently about this and they told me that it is indeed your own fault if you choose to go out during the late hours. What?! what sort of twisted logic is that?! by his same token, it would be your own fault to own a classic car and subsequently have it destroyed or to carry money around and then be mugged. this is surely a grave miscarriage of common sense but i find more and more people thinking this way. its this kind of thinking that perpetuates yobbish behavior and is therefore one of the root causes of these sorts of crimes. so until that changes, these things will continue to happen.

shame that had to happen to a mini though ;)
