Hi all, thought id start a bit of a project thread on my mini.

Its an '88 henley blue mayfair.

This is how it looked when I bought it

It was a pretty much bog standard 998 mayfair.

Now two years later it looks like this;

Other than the exterior styling mods ive done to it, I have also added an lcb, 12G295 head, cone filter and quick shift.

Ive also added a home made chequer plate dash & door cards and bucket seats;

Hopefully money providing over the summer I am going to build up a lightened and balanced A+ 1275 for it with a few other goodies, and possibly a bit of a restoration is on the cards!!

Love to hear what your fews on it are.

Rob.

Cheers buddy, it takes a bit of getting used to as it can be quite hard to get into gear if you don;t know exactly where it goes!! But i love it..Athough mines not a proper KAD one so id have thought theyd be better.

Took my heater element to be rapaired today, turns out it was tottally knackered, so a quick call to a broker place near me and I got a new heater (well new to me anyways!!), fitted it this afternoon, just gotta buy some piping and plum it all back in tommorow!

Also picked up an oil pressure line, so i can fit the gauge when i get round to it!! Just wondering where people usually put the take off in the oil lines??

Got round to plumbing the heater in today, which was a pig of a job, cause i thought id save a few bob by using some 1/2" piping instead of the proper pipes you can buy, so had to strtch all the ends etc etc!!

Won't be doing any work on the min for a couple of months now, cause i'm back off up to uni!

This is sort of what I will be doing it up to look like in the summer if i have money!!
I will do it in a glossier black aswell, as when the blue gets resprayed it will obviously be a shinier! Also will bring the black down a bit lower ( to the ridge in the bodywork)

No money for tyres! And i'm putting 10s on it sp dint see the poiunt of shelling out £80 for new rubber that was only gonna be used for a couple of months!

Cheers for the replys, plans as it goes are; new engine (1275), four-pot callipers or poss cooper s, decnet dampers, 10" alloys, either revo or something i pick up at a show! Might be getting a respray if i can find the cash aswell! Also gonna retroise it with a mkI bootlid and reversing lamp, and mkII rear lights. O and possibly hi-los depending on how it sits on 10s.
