Cheers man! Shame the rest of the cars a bit of a shed!
Should hopefully be finishing off my 2up 2down spot brackets this weekend so will get those beasties mounted up! Gonna put the bumper back on aswell, got an RAC dural sump gaurd coming my way and it'll look pretty stupid without a bumper!

Seems to be one thing after another with this car!! Brakes were sticking so whipped off the calipers and looks like a sticky piston (pads wearing at an angle). I'm now going to replace the discs with proper s ones and drive flanges and put new pads in. So whilst i'm at it i've taken off the swivel hubs to clean up and paint should have them all painted up and back together by saturday fingers crossed this will be the last problem!!

Cheers dude!
Got some good news and bad news after tonites stint in the garage!! Good news is the swivel hubs are and CV's etc are all cleaned up and painted!! Lapped in my ball joints aswell....so can fit those to the hubs tomorrow.
Bad news....whilst checking for play in all the suspension bits I found some slight play in my steering rack on the nearside, going to bolt it all back together and see how bad it actually is with the wheels on, I will change it out for a spare i've got in the garage eventually but would rather not be mucking around dropping the subby to change it if not absolutely necessary!!

Made the most of the bootiful weather we had this weekend! Washed and waxed the car....its deffo in need of a respray!! Paintworks pretty dull and mis matched in places were i've done repairs....o well patchy paintwork doesnt make the car any slower!!
Decided to change my grill back to the original mk2 as i had a fg lipped bonnet in the garage...suits it better now i rekon as its not really that retro looking any more!!
Treated myself to some rose jointed bottom arms from MRA aswell...will be fitting lots of lovely suspension bits over easter! Drop it and camber..mmmmm!

Its not a daily so no! Also ther main problem with rose joints wearing out is people putting them in half boots (got full ones on mine) so they just get crudded up and wear out!

Fitted up my facet pump and filter king regulator this weekend. For some reason the pump was leaking around the body! Bit of a pian in the bum, but it only cost me a fiver so not to bothered, fitted the old leccy SU one back in the boot for now and bought a new facet one off ebay.
It seems to have stopped my starting problems so i'm guessing where I had the pump before (on the bulkhead meant as a quick fix that lasted a year!!) it wasn't fuelling properly on startup as can be expected really! Booked it in for RR session with Peter Baldwin on the 10th of May aswell, so I can get the best out of this engine!

This car will be up for sale in a couple of weeks (without engine) i'm putting a 998 back in it for the sale. Has 12 months MOT with no advisories. I'm not using it so i'm just chucking money at it for no reason...time to get rid!
