OK, the clock is ticking.............................

take one reasonable mini with dodgy paint, add morspeed 16V BMW enhanced engine, chuck in straight cut gearbox and drops, ask mate John for help, and what do you get ?

a mini to go to IMM 2008.

we've got 4 weeks

started at the bottom, so heres the fiorst photos of todays efforts - subframe in blue pearl paint. Not flashy - just a tin of what we had kicking around !

hopefully daily updates and a a trip to stella-land !!

Well,

tonight I smell bad, am covered in grease and 10 year-old road kill - YES, its been subframe removal night.

Big thanks to John and the ever handsome MR Jake Blues for helping get the engine out, and I hope it has a nice new home with TC in her poorly clubby.

Tomorrow night hopefully will see a spruced up engine bay, all necessary old parts stripped, cleaned and given a squirt of paint. and then everything will be ready for a build up of the new subframe friday night, and maybe an engine / subframe installation over the weekend.

the paint I have got is a really easy application.

2 parts paint, 1 part activator, 20% thinners and 440ml of stella per coat !

Nothing wrong with a can between coats, last one took 10 coats!!

Hmmmmm, may well explain a lot!!
