Amazing how music can generate such passion, isn't it?

Personally I agree with most of the above - And I would like to add the vast majority of new bands called "THE - something or other" - the pigeon detectives, the kooks, the feeling etc.

The people that claim they hate all this music - I would be interested to know what music you do like.

I absolutely cannot stand Mariah Carey - she is the most annoying woman in music. As for the other two, I don't know really but there is no one even close to Mariah.

do you have ears? im sure you cant because surely if you did have ears you would realise all their songs sound EXACTLY the same, and the lyrics are AWEFUL! not only that but the lead singers always think theyre the best there has ever been. like whats-his-face lead singer of razorlight thinks hes the best singer AND guitarist there has ever been, and 'no' offence to the guy, but hes sh*t.

on the subject of umbrella i vaguely like the song but not her or any other songs of hers. 2 guys from my school, 1 typically indie type singer and guitarist and 1 mike skinner-ish singer did an acoustic of umbrella and it was ace! thats what made me like it.

Mika i also hate with a passion but Timbaland and Justin Timberlake i really like lol

I've got another one - The wombats. Absolutely shocking. Terrible lyrics, rubbish singing and the musics pretty poor as well. Whoever gave them a record deal should be shot. The kooks, scouting for girls and the feeling all sound the same - wishy-washy rubbish that once you've heard one song, you've heard em all. Pigeon detectives are just riding the arctic mokey's success IMHO.

As for what I do like - basically all things rock/metal/punk. Which can be anything from Jimmy Eat World to Motorhead - whatever the computer spits out next. Thats what I listen to out of choice, but otherwise whatevers on the radio.

Good to see a healthy dislike of ******* music! I detest pretty much any commercial hiphop, R&B and mindless dance music. You get the odd good song in most genres, but they are the ones that predominantly vomit from the radio waves. Agreed Rhianna is cr@p, as are all the pretentious indie bands.
