It was a good weekend, but not a great show, the lay out was poor, people camping on each other etc.

Having said that I had great fun, especially wayching comedy till the early hours of the mornign lol, sorry didn't come and say hello to anyone, as I was either to drunk, tired or busy lol.

I do hope the lay out is changed back next year though

if anyone really honestly thinks thats crouded there having a laugh (compaired to some places iv been!) :P ok...what does take the biccy is when people dont think about where there pitching a tent thus blocking people cars in, that of course isnt fair, took like 5 mins tryig to find a route to drive round to the main path way

You guys are joking right???

I thought the show this year was very poor. The new layout of the farm was terrible, we got there nice and early to get some 'space' and no sooner were we set up then retards were camping right on the back of our tents........said retards also insisted on revving the *rubbish* out of their engines all night for no apparant reason. Whats the deal with segregating SMOC from everyone else??? And closing the main field, dumb if you ask me.

Oh and the first post says free camping, if thats the case I want a refund of my camping fee's!! I want a refund anyway, I wont be going back to this show in a hurry. Was more a mini trade stand day than car show. lots of people i went with were all very disappointed, some only stayed for half hour before leaving, now thats value for money NOT!

Yeah the layout was poor, yeah it was crowded, the show etc.. was more or less what it normaly is, it's as much of a laugh and fun as you make it, i've been going every year since 94 and i still love it because i go there and have fun.

Only down point of the whole thing was when we turned up at 11.10pm on Friday,.. 10 minutes late so the gates were closed, however, the woman was there with the key in the padlock and simply wouldn't let us in,.. We explained how far we'd come and how we'd broken down,.. but she was adamant,.. all she had to do was turn the key the other way. I know she's only doing her job but she could've had a heart.

She also turned away a mini club (and they'd come all the way from Belgium!) still with her hand on the padlock she'd only just locked.

other than that... I thought the show was okay,.. Disco was great great great (comedian was rubbish though) and the facilities were ok. The trade stands were full of absolute Tat,.. with only a few people bothering to bring stuff worth buying.

It was social event for me more than anything else, and hence, a complete success. I didn't think it was crowded at all.

I don't see the big kapoopy about the layout and things.. it was their first year organising it and im sure they will learn from the mistakes..

Maybe some sort of "marshalls" to wander the grounds and offer help, also to check people are behaving in the camps... I know there were the helpy people about during the day but I didn't see anyone when it got dark, methinks thats why things got damaged and people got the bum ache.

Ice tea!

 thats my baby! cheers mate, thats made my day. people dont usually take pics of my mini. just dont zoom in so you can see the imperfections =]

i randomly found out today that the couple who have just bought the hop farm, screwed up SMD, and want to put prices up further, therefore forcing SMOC change venue next year, are clients of my uncle who, is area manager of natwest or something like that. time for a little denis the menace action me thinks
