if u still need to get the driveshaft stubs outa the gearbox just stick a crowbar or somethin on and whack it with a hammer they should pop out lol

Went garage tonight not much done, cleaned the garage and started stripping parts of my old engine so not alot im going to take my time on this dont wana wreck anything lol... Ive got a funny feeling the welding wont get done again !!! this weekend :lol: owell ive only got till jan if it comes to desprate then ill do it myself pics.

Also bought some new bits manifold gasket, rocker cover gasket and a new oil filter..

Oh and another ting does anyone know how to get the metal clip off the drive shaft boot ? need to replace them dont i.. thanks

Looks like the welding aint getting done AGAIN >_< damn it im just going to have to save my wages for 2 weeks and get the welding done for full price never mind atleast its done then

Got a engine crane going to buy some driveshaft boots tommorow and fit them and then hopefully the engine will be in tommorow :thumbsup:

Plans are....

Monday 1st Dec : Fit inner cv boots.
Tuesday 2nd Dec : Fit engine
Friday 5th Dec : Take mini to get welding done + Buy fiberglass roof
Saturday 13th Dec : Get mini back fit fiberglass roof
Sunday 14th Dec : Maybe primer
Tuesday 16th Dec : Fit all parts back on mini
Then, all theres to do is get the mini Tax + Mot

See all planned out, and if it all does go to plan i should have the mini done for my deadline wich is Jan 2009

Ordered my boots for tommorow got 4 spark plugs the boot fitting tool and the engine on the engine crane ready to go in tommorow :) :)

Ive had enough now ! lol nothing ever goes to plan with this thing. Went and collected my bits today come to fit them and theyve got me the wrong ones ! :D the got me the outer boots :P another night to wait to get it in :w00t:

Went to swap them this morning and they said the ones ive got are universal ones and they dont do the other ones anymore soo will be fitting them tommorow got a date tonight :P

And its in wheyyyy :( finaly fitted the engine still have the o/s driveshaft and ball joints to put back on, top engine mount then all the wiring then the manifold carbs ecs :thumbsup: sorted...... Saturday will be the day it will be all done not had a reply back about the welding :w00t: again but hey if he doesnt reply in 1 week ill pay full for someone to come :( anyways pics here...

Cheers, ive came up with an idea im going to get a sheet of metal/alluminium and box from where the brake, cluch cyliners and wiper motor is and screw it down so i always have acess to it. Will make it aloy tidyer i think :w00t:

Not had a reaply of him so just going to go to the welder behind me he gave me a quote for £150 but its with a arc welder so thats why i didnt go with him at first, but im going to have to take the chance aint i hes a pro so nothing can go wrong :D
