I agree, if the car was for the road i would never have got those arches, but for a hillclimb, just adds style and lets me fit wide tyres

Im going to be fitting 13x8 or 13x9 compomotives on the back.. not sure wht size yet... If anyone has got a suggestion, either on the actual wheels or the size i would be grateful
Cheers for the great comments, cnt wait to drive it

Theres 3 inches between the tyre and the arch. And thats with no room for the damper to travel.
So i spoke to AVO, thinking i would probs have to move the upper mounts up

But great news they said they could just make me a shorter set of dampers and springs to fit. This means i can get down to 1.5 inches between the tyre and the arch and also the damper has got 1 inch travel.
want to say a thankyou to AVO for sorting me out

I had the same problem and did mention it. I sorted it with a height adjuster, different tracks some very flat and some more like a rally track. dont forget the wheel should have some movement out of the arch as well.Right ive had a bit of a problem with the ride height, dropped it down on its wheels for the first time and the dampers bottom out before its as low as i wanted to go.

You've done allot of body and suspension modifications, which class will your car be eligible for once it's finished? I joined the Hillclimb and Sprint Asociation a few years ago with a thought to competing but once I found out my Cooper was an RSP I started tarting it up rather than stripping it out.

Do they only do hillclimbs in UK, I saw one at shalsley Walsh (Wrong spelling) when I was younger, but am in Germany at the moment.
Are there any European hill climbs? Or do they just not have any hills? LOL
