Like loads of people, it was my first time and I had so much fun. Really enjoyed myself. Went up with friend on the saturday and thought the atmosphere of Crystal Palace was really good. Saw a lot of the TMF cars, but didn't really know who anybody was. It such a buzz driving through London with all the other cars. I need to get my pictures up asap!

Will defiantly doing next year without a doubt!

I believe that it was you that I followed into Crystal Palace on Saturday (I was driving a blue R reg) - I meant to come over and say thanks... I would have been well and truly lost with my husband navigating if I hadn't been following someone with sat nav. Even if we did go a little bit astray at one point!!!

Ah, we were going to come over and say sorry about the little detour. On the sat nav it was saying we were driving on a road that the point we should of turned, but it soon sorted itself out. Oh and sorry about leaving you at the lights at one points, i didnt realise they were changing, luckily you caught up. Where were you coming from?

Got back to the Isle of Man from Brighton last night. 722 miles in four days!!! Spent this afternoon cleaning 'Elwood' my mini. Seemed to by quite happy cruising on the Motorways at 70 ish... :withstupid: but now is not very happy to crawl about the island... Hmmmm.. Maybe it was that last lot of petrol I bought in Liverpool.

We were quite late leaving Crystal Palace and so missed the TMF meet at the Mini Spares stand, will have to get in to London earlier next year! :goaway:

Hi Twinks22, I saw your car! Took a picture of it too.. We did stop and give a bottle of water to an overheated Black Mini 30 I think it was, on the way to Brighton, but apart from that the only time I looked at my spares and tools was putting them back in the garage today.

Oh just remembered, want to say thanks to random Mini owners who hung with me at times. I was struggling to go over 40-45 when going uphill and quite a few people slowed down to either stay behind me or in front for a while. It was nice to see a little bit of extra camaraderie in times of non-urgent need :withstupid:

My mini is now fixed :withstupid: I think it may be the quickest repair I've ever done - the hazards have self-healed and the lights just needed the fuse changing! :goaway:

amazing how minis can self heal themselves! :goaway:

i took 7 litres of water! maybe a little excessive. a 2 litre bottle for us 2 humes and a 5 litre bottle for the mini. we only drank about 1/10th of the 2 litre bottle and had no need for the 5 litres! what a waste :withstupid:

i noticed quite a few minis stopped on the M23/A23 hard shoulder. i wouldve stopped for a few that were on their own but with no indicators i didnt fancy it!
