Because its good fun? If you go expecting to not get much sleep, to have a good time, to have a laugh and a drink with friends and to meet new people then you can't ask for more. I really hope they leave it exactly as it is, I love it.yeah, you have to "play the game"
actually, i'm surprised that anybody still goes into crystal palace.
that's one thing they really need to sort out, but then i really don't know how they could make it any better for people
well i was actually referring to the traffic situation, but another post slipped in before me and kinda changed the subject

i dont do camping so i'm not qualified to comment on that bit

we stayed in a travelodge on the Saturday night and it it actually made the run a nice weekend trip rather than a long one day slog. maybe even do a Sunday night stop over next year and travel home on the Monday

Well we conquered the run and drove all the way back home on the Sunday. Trouble is we didn't get home till around 11:30pm so the kids and us were knackered and we spend 63 quid in fuel.
Still a great weekend and we can say we did it now.
wow, that's a long day then mate, but glad to hear you got home safe in the end. you still enjoyed it though ??
i actually dont mind driving for long periods, its when you stop and try to get out that it hurts. your body still wants to stay locked in the "knees behind the ears" position and you have to walk around like a chimp for five minutes

What did *yellow human water* me off was the nutter who decided wheelspinning through rows of tents at 3am was a good idea...

LMAOI apologise for Mini93 too, who about 10 seconds after a marshall asked us to be a bit quieter thought it would be a brilliant idea to make "broom broom noises". Not just any broom broom noises, a Vtec hitting the rev limiter....

Wasn't it all TMFers by the big steps? We were all chatting til about then lol... You guys went somewhere earlier on so me josh jimmy and chris retired to our tents, but me & josh heard jimmy & chris having the oddest conversation, josh burst out laughing, and we all talked to each other from in our tents for about half an hour after thatI apologise if you were camped by the big steps and you had to hear me talking until about 1am,

Yeah it was but I must admit I am chuffing loud so they could probably hear me on the other side of London.

I was barely involved because I was sleepy, I just giggled to myself and piped up with "YOU WHAT?!" or similar every so often

The noise levels didn't seem too bad to be honest, I apologise if you were camped by the big steps and you had to hear me talking until about 1am, I apologise for Mini93 too, who about 10 seconds after a marshall asked us to be a bit quieter thought it would be a brilliant idea to make "broom broom noises". yeah I was gonna get up and stop them if they went past again. Not good when around tents and I bet they were drunk as hell. Got up in the morning and the skid marks went right past our tents. Not too impressed with that.
I can deal with people talking, that's no problems. It's the music with subs going that was the worst. Never mind it was an experience that's for sure. i think you gotta do it once start to finish just for that. I wasn't too sure where we we're sleeping as it seemed it was an inch of turf over hardcore/rubble. Hands up who ain't got any tent pegs left that are usable

I remember walking past your car, so you weren't far from me at all. I was camping with Marc and Shaun with the two cal-look Minis on hydraulics if you remember seeing them? I can't remember hearing the subs but then my teeth were probably chattering too loud. I was SO COLD!
And yeah, I have about 5 useable tent pegs left...
