Wow! after just reading through all of Ade's and Petye's posts I feel like my car is peanuts.... ;) Oh well my cars will keep getting more extreme.

I'm looking at another mini to buy right away here.... cut it up into a trailer to tow behind Rusty!

heres a couple pics of the hopefully future addition to the collection!

You really do like them rusty dont you!! :saywhat:
or is that the only variety? HEHEHE :)

Personally im not a fan of cutting up minis for other things! We need to keep them on the roads (that doesnt include trailers, or other forms of cut up minis)
But your too far away for me to stop you :nugget:
Did anyone see that "Grand Designs" episode where they had a mini for a desk (if only i could find out where they live??) :fear: BOOOOOM :)

I guess if you were reshelling it you could use the old shell for something (because the car would still be on the road) but then that costs alot.

THIS IS JUST MY VIEW I DO NOT INTEND TO DO ANYTHING TO ANYONE!!

*real explosives were not used in this experiment*

Hey Cowboy! Yeah I'm shooting to be dne in 1-1.5 months so not too long now. glad you like it! :)

today I hooked up the speedo cable, started recovering the lower dash rail padding with black vinyl, resprayed the fuel tank, hooked up handbrake and cables.....etc. tommorow I'm going to get the dash redone in a walnut vineer, hook up various cables (throttle, heater, choke.....) and other little bits and bobs. I'm waiting on a guy in town to finish my steel fuel line sections.... when he does I'll hook up the fuel lines, then I can put in the rad, twin carbs... etc.

well progress has picked up again after a bit of a lull.... fuel lines are in, fuel tank is in, taillights, headlights, battery cable guages, carbs (twin 1 1/4" SU) radiator....... will be starting it up for the first time tomorrow! *fingers crossed.* will be extremely loud too cause it's only got headers right now :cheese:

Tried bleeding my brakes but ran into problems as soon as i started..... the master cylinder isn't bringing fluid up which means I'm not getting anything to the rear...... master is coming back off to be torn down again and remedy the problem.

in two weeks I'm taking the car into town to get the headliner and glass installed..... :fear: Not that i couldn't do it, but I'm lazy! :w00t:

<<<<TO DO LIST>>>>

- get brakes functioning
- re assemble doors and put them on
- test and trouble shoot electrics
- hook up stereo
- headliner and glass
- assemble interior
- ...........

If all goes well and I keep at it it'll be on the road for the first time in about 14 years by beginning of next month.

have more pics to put up but i'm going to sleep now...... take it easy

sorry for the lull in photos and updates...... i got up yesterday (sunday the 5th) and went right out to the garage...... sorted out my brakes finally (master cylinder wasn't pumping fluid to the top line thus supplying no fluid to rear brakes..... :erm: ) I changed the master with the one from the other mini and then bled the brakes.... then bled and adjuste the clutch. adjusted the handbrake tension (set too tight at first as the left rear wheel dragged when i tried to drive.)

Then I took it for it's first drive ever!!! It was unbelievable! no glass, no doors, one seat and loads of torque! It's quite quick! I peeled around my street over and over and over....... :cheese:

anyways heres some pics to keep you all happy!
