I cleaned my engine, well my block, yday, I used some decreaser to get most of the thick oil and grime, then pressure washed it, came up nice.

thats the engine all clean and degreased :lol:

quick call to Crocks and he wants the servo off

so servo off and starter motor is there any thing else i have forgotten ? (carb and manifold are now off) :wub:

wires off? or he gona be labling those?, top engine steadys? depends how much your asking him to do? clutch slave cylinder?

Radiator, alternator, dizzy, just all the little things so it will go in and out easily?

got most of that already

did forget the top engine steady although i would probably spotted it when the servo came off

Just seen this thread, looks like your in a similar boat to me :wub: I had to have my engine out for a rebuild, its still not back in yet :wub:

Hope it al goes well and you get your gearbox all fixed! :lol:

after a weekends work its almost ready to lift out

just keep thinking as i unbolt stuff that it's going to be much harder to put it all back

You'll be alright Bungler, it'll go back together OK >_<

I'd take that plastic elbow for the air intake doodah off the inner wing too whilst you're taking things off in preparation.

Hope it's nothing too serious with the gearbox old lad!! :-

Yep - remove air duct elbow, unbolt clutch slave so it can be tied up out of the way without splitting any pipe/hose joints and unbolt any earth straps to engine then it's about ready. Are there any lower engine steadies on it?
Are you the lucky one to scrabble underneath to do the gear change linkage?! Driveshafts and speedo cable can be disconnected as it is on its way out.
