Thats crazy pressure 30psi i cant wait to see that!

I was thinking getting SC drops and the X-Pin diff also a mappable ignition would help wouldnt it?

Would you keep the cam standard as well?

What kind of inter cooler would be good to use?

You say goodish bottom end, is the MG metro standard not up to the job?

Appreciate the help.

its revs that kill the bottom end eg rods ect. a fully worked crank and rods will do the 200bhp job and forged pistons.

but i mean if you want to go beyond 120bhp a center strap and some bottom end work and stright cut drops and a cross pin diff.

as for the intercooler get the most efficent one you can find.

I wouldn't use a normally aspirated MG Metro engine, not with standard chambers anyway. The compression is 10.5-1. This is far to high for a supercharged application. If you have the chambers worked obviously this can be lowered.
I would use the NA MG Metro cam or the Kent 266 both should be good for your application. As suggested i'd install a twin pin diff whatever spec your planning on going for. For peace of mind i'd probably stretch to SC drop gears to, though some people run the standard ones up to around the 120hp mark, with the torque of the charger i'd add them to your shopping list. A properly built standard bottom end will be fine, as said, it's revs that kill the bottom end. But you'll not need to rev it hard with the charger fitted.
If it's a suck through install, you can't use an intercooler.
If your interested in a head have a look on my website, i think you'll find the prices very competetive. I'm currently doing a head for a customer who is aiming for the same kind of power as you & is using the Eaton charger. I'm using 36mm inlets with 30mm exhausts, fully ported, bulletnosed bronze guides etc. Basically i can tailor it to your application, so whatever you need.

Phil.

Right, just noticed you've decided on a Turbo instead ! Lol. Anyway, yes the R5 spec Turbo & Mirage kit will be fine for what you want, either the 4wd or the 2wd Cossie intercooler will be more than up to the job at 10psi. Megajolt's worth its weight in gold over a dizzy, so go for it if you can afford it.
On a well built engine, properly set up with a decent cam & head you'll be looking around 125-130hp.

Yes the Avonbar Phase 2 is good. i've run it myself & it's certainly a popular choice. Don't bother with the P3 though it's over the top for all but the most extreme applications & even then has non of the bottom & midrange the P2 has.
For your application the head doesn't need to be OTT, either the fast road unleaded, or the fast road/trackday heads i do can be tailored to suit your engine spec. Either one will be more than enough for the power you want & more.

Fast road unleaded is £365, fast road/trackday is £350 either of these will be more than up to the job. The full specs are on the website
turbo-mini.com cylinder heads

Cheers
Phil.

my first supercharged engine had 111.8bhp at the wheels and 106lbft torque at the wheels

and that was a standard 1275 with the head combuston chambers reworked to lower the compression to 8/1

no fancy heads cams etc

was easy to drive as normal or just keeped going when you put you foot down

steady driving gave 35mpg or about 9mpg when flat out around the ring

loads of fun around the nurburgring in 2006

is footage on youtube
