Oh dear another promise from Morspeed to send parts and then actually doesnt.

If this was a one off then you would say that ok everybody has problems sometimes but the amount of threads about Morspeeds appalling service is becoming endless.

In my opinion anybody who would even consider buying anything from them now must need their head looking at

Morspeed are quite close to me, so I had a head done by Simon - 3 months later and a lot of nagging I was told it was nearly done and I could collect it. Turned up and had to stand around for a few hours to wait for it to be skimmed, cleaned up and have the valves fitted. Simon knocked some money off the final price, but I have to say it isn't the best service. MED may be expensive and Steve may be a mardy git, but I have never seen a thread on a forum critiscing their work/customer service.

Jesus christ.

What a surprise.

I have been trying to call Simon all day, every 15 minutes, since 9am.

I have left answer phone messages, Oli's Mum has left him countless messages.

Every time we DO get hold of him he prmoises to send it that day, and promises to call back.

He NEVER responds to any voice mails.

If I dont get a reply tomorow, I will be driving up there to collect the engine myself.

wait till prawn finds out about that!

I try and I try and I try, and I'm just sat here getting more and more angry.

This cannot go on.

The man is a thief, and a liar. He has taken over £5000 of Oli's money, and when Oli died, decided to simply not bother sending his engine.

Anyone who can lie day after day to a grieving mother, and even claim to have received a text message from Her dead some some weeks after he died, can clearly have no morals what so ever.

And to all those of you out there who Love morspeed so much, instead of now flaming me, why not phone Simon and tell him to call me.

I dont see the problem really.

I ring them and they pretty much always answer... maybe they look at the number calling and if its the number that calls every 15mins they dont answer

You dont see the problem?

An order placed on May 07, was not ready until september 07, paid for in full in september when it was ready, still not delivered december 9th when the owner died.

another 7 months have passed, and still, despite regular phone calls, the engine has STILL not been delivered.

Countless promises, shipping dates, all empty. All lies.

Simon took the money happily enough, and now will not provide the goods.

It is because of Simon that Oli did not drive his Mini before he died.

It is because of Simon that Olis Mini was not ready for the riviera run as a tribute to him.

It is because of Simon that the mini is STILL not ready, and Castle combe is getting closer and closer.....

The engine is the central piece of this car, everything else is stemmed around it.

The dry build of the rest of the car is complete, but we cannot go any further until the engine arrives!

It does seem to be a bad service from Simon, i do not know the guy - but every company has its downfalls, I should know I have ran a fair few

If the engine has been ready for so long, why is it only this week you have decided to take a day off and drive up there.

My advise, contact Simon in whatever means you can, and arrange for your own courier to go in and collect. Will be cheaper than your fuel, and you get insurance etc through them.

Other than that, and with out consulting the 'rules' im sure that constant flaming could be a breach of rules.

Actions considered as Flaming (the act of being offensive towards others) will not be tolerated, we try to allow people to voice their opinions, and allow for debate, however we do not want to see posts that offend other forum members.

I realise it says, other forum members, and im not sure if Simon is a member here or not. Either way, i feel this rule is in place for this very reason.

With thanks

Kinjo

Whats your problem Dan?

I couldnt' care less who is fed up of hearing about it, If you guys want me to shut up, then why not do something about it? Tell Simon to call me. Or better still;

SEND THE ENGINE.

"nothing nice to sa, then dont say anything at all"

Why should we let this man carry on trading? Lying to people and never sending goods. It is clear from this thread that his customer service is a beyond shocking.

2 years for a few parts? What a joke.

If you paid over £5000 for an engine, would you HONESTLY not be angry if it still hadn't turned up 9 months later? really?

If you are so sick of hearing from me, then do something about it.

Otherwise. Deal with it.

I am not flaming, I am simply stating facts. Others can interpret those facts how they see fit.

Oli confirmed his order in May, and paid a deposit.

The full balance was paid in september, and the engine was 'ready to ship'

Oli died in december, and I have been asked to finish his project car.

I have been told countless times that the engine is ready for shipping, and 'will be on a pallet tomorow'

Why SHOULD I have to drive up there and collect it? I am constantly told it's ready, then some weeks later told bits are missing..... The story constantly changes.

Flaming would be insulting Simon, which I am not. I am simply stating that he has constantly lied to me for 6 months now, and has still failed to deliver the goods paid for in full over 9 months ago.

This is simply not acceptable.

I do agree with the way you are feeling, but take note to the above.

I'm sure Simon would see being called a liar as insulting.

I will not be posting on these threads anymore, I only wanted to express my views.

Thank you Kinjo, I do understand what you are saying, but my interpretation of the flaming rule may be slightly different to yours.

To my way of thinking, calling someone a liar is NOT insulting them.

If they have constantly lied to you over a period of 6 months, and changed story several times. They ARE a liar.

If somebody IS a liar, how can calling them so be considered insulting?

I understand that I am annoying a LOT of people with my posts of late, which I am not very happy about. I havn't been around much in the Mini scene for a few years, and since Oli's death, I have been inspired to get back into it all, rebuilding my own mini too.

I apologise for the constant updates on the car status.

People ask why it's not done, so I tell them; The engine hasn't been delivered.

If people ask again two weeks later, I'll tell them why again.
