I was shocked to hear someone had been waiting on parts for two years, but when Prawn said that about Oli's engine I was quite honestly horrified.
That's all I have to say.

or go to morpseed and get the service i and many others have received.
but hey, if you want to be a sheep i dont care![]()
baaaaaah!
baaaaaah!
you are basing your opinons merely on some peoples opinions. good going!
i here some people dont like tesco's! boycotttttt!
From what i have read it isn't peoples opinions which say morspeed isn't doing so good, it is people who have brought things from them.
It is not about being a sheep like jammy says it is about learning from your mistakes in life. Instead of just agitating people by calling them sheep have you got a sensible reason as to why the engine for prawn hasn't been sent? As to quote you again if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all.

Shame its full of Cr*p from the bunch of know Fu*k all about nothing crew.
Ollies engine has not left yet for reasons that are nobodys business but mine and the person who paid for it. Say and think what you like, im sure you will get over it and find another company to slate in time.
If im busy i dont answer the phone, simple as...we build 3 or 4 engines A WEEK, i cant build engines and take calls thats why a voice says 'please leave a message' i dont have ESP so if you dont leave a message i dont know you called!! and it does not matter how many times you call i will not pick up.
2 years for parts? FFS get real people.
imabitnaughtyxx i dont know who you are or what engine your talking about, please do tell......
And for the rest of the bandwagon, yeh we had some delivery time problems last year and indeed a handfull of engine troubles (6 out of 144) but since 2008 90% of orders have been on time, and for every 1 un-happy customer we have 100 very happy ones.
Morspeed has grown year after year, building mini engines is big business, we are small fry compared to Swiftune, Minisport etc.. but still turn over 1/4 million a year, imagine what the big boys make!!
But then you will never get to speak to them on a forum as they have no interest in personal opinions only blank cheques.

This is Oli's Mum. I just wanted to explain a few things - the last 6 months have been VERY difficult. Very few people know the truth about how poor Oli was killed and in time it will come out but he was killed and it was horrific. What we have had to deal with since then has been extremely hard. The one thing that has been keeping me going was getting Olis mini done (his dream), which I will add he never actually got to drive hmself because he was waiting for the engine last year to go to Castle Coombe.
Nick was his best and closest friend, they were like brothers. Losing Oli was devastating to so many people, he was a very special person. Nick, on my behalf vowed to get the mini finished, this is why Nick has been chasing the engine and I am sure you will all understand, including you Simon, that emotions have been running very high. So many people have contributed to the Fund to help complete the mini and SOOOO many people are waiting to see the car which should have been finished ages ago - the Mini World Magazine were going to do an article on it at the Riviera Run in May - but we nver made that.
We are now hoping to race it as Castle Coombe this Sepember!!!!!!! So please understand how important this is and as each day passes, and it seems less likely, it seems that the one thing keeping me going is just not happening.
As I am sure you will all understand I have not been coping at all well and Nick is struggling also. So please understand why emotions have been running high.
We hope to resolve this matter very soon.
Thank you
Carol

We also lost a member of our family in extremely sudden and horrific circumstances in January. I have some personal understanding as to what you might be going through.
I sincerely hope that this matter can be resolved quickly, if getting this mini finished is what's keeping you going, then you need all the support you can get. I think this should be made a high priority by Morspeed, no matter the circumstances, it was ordered and paid for a long time ago and you should either receive a full refund or the engine- yesterday.
I wish you all the best for the future Carol, and wish that things get easier for you with time x
.............................................
Simon,
Your response was not professional, it was rude, immature, and did not give people who obviously want answers any facts at all.
I for one was keeping out of this conversation deliberately. I don't know you, or listen to any stories about businesses I haven't dealt with personally......
Well done, you've now put me and my mini loving family off EVER buying from Morspeed in the future..... You really need to fine tune your customer care skills, from relpying like that on this thread you have made yourself look like a proper numpty!

its not hard to think of ways in which you can help yourselfs just to get better customer relations you just have to think a bit and focus on long term gains rather than short term losses. maybe one day you yourself maybe a "big boy".

Interesting post....
Shame its full of Cr*p from the bunch of know Fu*k all about nothing crew.
I am getting an urge to buy something from this guy now.... no wait a minute... no... it's an urge to insult him, my mistake.
Ollies engine has not left yet for reasons that are nobodys business but mine and the person who paid for it. Say and think what you like, im sure you will get over it and find another company to slate in time.
Would you be so good as to at least inform us as to who you are communicating with regarding this? It seems that neither Nick nor Oli's mother are in the loop.

It's perfectly apparent what proportion of the mini-owning population are satisfied with your service... suffice to say my estimate of the happy/unhappy ratio differs somewhat from yours.

This last part made me chuckle. How many years have you been in business? 'Building mini engines is big business' you say, and yet your company hardly appears to have bitten off a huge chunk of the market share... hmm... I wonder why?
Oh, and a final hint... if you are going to criticise your competition by saying they don't come and 'speak on a forum' please don't do it in a post which is nothing more than a worthless rant. You have been a registered user here for nearly 3 years. I am sure you have known about Prawn's thread on finishing oli's mini, or at the very least about the criticism being levelled at you for some time now. You have had PLENTY of opportunity to spend a bit of time preparing a reply to this criticism which could show you and your company in a far more positive light...
I'll take my business elsewhere. Thanks for posting, eh? ...
