If Simon has said a few months ago that the engine was sent, and yet it wasn't, that would be lying no? In fact he told Wolfy three weeks ago that the engine would be delivered, and it still hasn't been sent, another lie, no?

Personally (and this isn't TMF's view being expressed here), I'd go so far as to say that until this engine (and other people parts that have taken many many months to arrive) arrives, you could go so far as to call Simon a thief! But I won't!

I for one stand behind Prawn 100%.

As other have said, some people might be jumping on the bang wagon, and "you always hear about people complaing, but no one ever shouts when they receive good customer service". Well on the flip side, as has also been said, you don't get threads like this about MED, DSN Classics, KAD, SC Components, etc. And there have been quite a number of threads in which Minispares, etc have been praised for good service. From what I've read of TMF, and a few other Mini forums, there seem to be more bad topics about Morspeed now than good.

i can sit here and complain about so many companies, but i dont.

its only ever the bad points that get seen, there are many happy customers, i am one of them.

Come on i take my hat off for prawn, finishing his project for a man who loved mini's, he needs the engine to finish it and so he can take it to couple of events, no point in having a go at him.

Loads of people say its bad custom there personally we havnt bought anything from there so i dont know.

Just lay off i can understand the situation people are in person from MORSPEED sort it out.

I for one would not even consider buying from Morspeed until this issue is resolved. Others should do the same.

I feel the only way to get some action, it to take action. Go to a solicitor or Citizens Advice get some advice. If they say take it to court, Write to Simon (Send it recorded so he HAS to sign for it) and inform him that if the engine does not arrive withing 14 days of the dated letter you will be taking legal action.

If you dont hear from him within 14 days, take legal action.
If he calls you within the 14 days and gives you information, tell him you require it in writing, even if its an email. In court any information given over the phone is not evidence, unless recorded - which unless stated is illegal (i cant remember which laqw it is but can get the info if you want). Whereas a letter is proof that Simon or Morspeed are contacting you.

I think this is the only way you might get some progress.

Its one thing to blindly follow a crowd, its another to be sensible and learn from (lots of) other people's mistakes!
