Wow what a bad thread to read, Wolfy you are like a teenage ASBO with your childish or chavish replies. I take it you must be Morspeeds tea boy or something like that.

Put yourself in the peoples eyes, they have spent the money and want the parts sorting ASAP. £5k on an engine I would expect to have it in around a month tops with a good engine builder being really busy. The time taken is WAY TOO LONG and we have still not a good reason to why the engine has not left Morspeed.

I think they need to change their name to lesspeedandnopartsbeingdelivered, as you will not get morspeed without and engine being delivered.

Has anyone contacted MiniWorld or MiniMag yet to put their views across as if there is what is classed as specialist ripping people of more people need to know about it. As in the people who do not use this forum for example.

Morspeed well for your reply is it not a good way to sell your business to me or others on here, not a very professional imo. I work for a world wide company and I keep an eye on a lot of forums but I would never ever wish to write or post a thread like what you have. If I did write a post like yours I would be sacked straight away as I would been seen to be losing our companies good reputation.

If the engine has been fully paid for why the hell hasnt it been delivered. Be man enough to give us a good reason and not flog us off as muppets.

Well Said.
I think this is an insult to oli's family, especially his mum.. she has come onto this forum and spoken about this and for that i respect her....

Simon your responce was pathetic and childish, how have you been able to run a company with that kind of attitude is beyond me...
If the engine has been paid for in full why have you still got it... you say you have 90% of happy customers, are those 90% all engine builds or did they just come in and pick up a part of the shelf? because so far 100% of people here talking about you have slated your poor service.....

£5k for an engine??

I could get you one built from scratch for that!!

Ive just built my 1293 which is pushing between 75-80 bhp at the wheels for under £800!! Thats running s/c drops too!!

Simon i rang you up before christmas, i was planning on buying an engine from you. But from your responce in this thread, im SO glad i didnt.
It really dose look like you couldnt give a toss about oli or his engine.
Anyone with their head screwed on would have come on here and said

"im sorry i havent been on here, i am busy building engines. Olis engine will be posted as soon as ................ and it should be recieved by end of June by the latest.
I will keep logging onto the forum to check the progress in the evenings"

Get off your high horse. "we turn over 1/4 of a million" i dont think anyone in this thread cares about your turnover or how many engnes you build "A WEEK"

Also you said about 90% of happy cusomters. I know 2 members on here who were told week after week that their Cylinder Head was ready for collection, only to find when they arrived to collect it, they had to sit around for an hour or three waiting for the work to be done??? I also know another 6 people who have delt with you and had nothing but trouble.

MED and Slark dont have bad reputations. Why is this? Because they keep you updated with Emails or phone calls. They ring you when the work is finished and ready for collection.

Seriously, sort it out.

Interesting post....

Shame its full of Cr*p from the bunch of know Fu*k all about nothing crew.

Ollies engine has not left yet for reasons that are nobodys business but mine and the person who paid for it. Say and think what you like, im sure you will get over it and find another company to slate in time.

If im busy i dont answer the phone, simple as...we build 3 or 4 engines A WEEK, i cant build engines and take calls thats why a voice says 'please leave a message' i dont have ESP so if you dont leave a message i dont know you called!! and it does not matter how many times you call i will not pick up.

2 years for parts? FFS get real people.

imabitnaughtyxx i dont know who you are or what engine your talking about, please do tell......

And for the rest of the bandwagon, yeh we had some delivery time problems last year and indeed a handfull of engine troubles (6 out of 144) but since 2008 90% of orders have been on time, and for every 1 un-happy customer we have 100 very happy ones.
Morspeed has grown year after year, building mini engines is big business, we are small fry compared to Swiftune, Minisport etc.. but still turn over 1/4 million a year, imagine what the big boys make!!
But then you will never get to speak to them on a forum as they have no interest in personal opinions only blank cheques.

Simon

I'm quite shocked and suprised at your post. I will admit now that I don't know anything about the problems people are having with you and/or engines that have been bought from you. However you aren't exactly portraying a professional image for your business are you?

You may have alot more happy customers than unhappy customers (I'm not saying you haven't) and in business you should always try and resolve problems with the unhappy customers to prevent things such as this topic being posted on a public forum. 1 unhappy customer will always stand out above 100 happy customers.

You say you are small fry compares to swiftune, minisport etc well then surely you should be trying to keep all of your customers happy as they have other alternative companies they can go to. I'm not quite sure why you even bring the other companies into this topic or the fact that you have a turnover of 1/4 of a million. You may not get the larger companies on forums such as this but I'm sure they are interested in customers opinions and ensuring they have happy customers as thats how they get recommended to others, increasing there share of the 'big business' of which you speak.

Now I don't expect you will care for what I have said as you seem set in your ways, I don't even expect a response from you. However I seriously think you should do what ever you can to sort the problems that these customers are having with you even if it means going out of your way as you may then be seen to 'take the higher road'. There voices will be heard over the top of all your happy customers, and surely your customers should be your highest priority?

EDIT: Maybe you should request for this topic to be closed whilst you sort out the problems and then update the topic as you sort the problems, maybe you can still save your companies reputation. The quicker you act the less damage you are going to do to yourself.

I forgot to mention in my post.... regarding the other companies not posting on forums, they don't NEED to. When I was choosing a camshaft for my build I simply rang up Swiftune, spoke to a chap the other end of the line, got some information and advice, placed order, and the parts arrived within a few days. I don't NEED Swiftune to post on any forum at all, thanks.

That said, you carefully didn't mention Minispares in your examples, and fair enough they don't build engines, but the ARE a shining example of how dragging yoiur business into the modern era could help raise that paltry market share to something more significant. Of all supplier discussions I have seen on these forums, minispares repeatedly outstrips other supppliers and a key factor in that is the fact that Simon spends time on this forum providing useful information and, on rare occasions when something goes awry, politely stepping in and helping people with any frustrating delays or problems.

Well said that man!

I have resisted posting on any of this be want to simply say this:

From what I have read there are 2 options morspeed has; 1 - deliver the damn engine toot-sweet OR 2 - refund the money immediately.
Companies need good press, and right now you will be lucky to walk away with the sign above your business. A solicitor would rip the company to bits, and I feel a mini world article is in orde ONCE this is resolved. I can't see how morspeed have any credibility now and the larger, global mini population need to be made aware of this guys attitude.

I nearly bought a head from these guys, but will now go elsewhere for everything, even if morspeed is cheaper!

For qall those who have said "Get mini world or mini mag to mention it", They wont.
if a magazine turns round and says "morspeed arent being very good, be warned" it will be biased and unfair.
The minimags are for PRAISE, why do you think they only time you see Morspeed mentioned is the advert they place?

stop this pointless argueing.......
at the end of the day this all started due to an engine that is meant to be going in olis mini... if it has been fully paid for i dont see why morspeed still have it, and if they have had it for aslong as has been said what are they doing with it?????? using it to hold up a coffee table?

This is starting to get really boring... its doing morspeeds rep no good what so ever, if people come on this forum and read this it doesnt matter how many people say there good they probably wont touch them......
