Congrats on the project! As with the other motorcycle engined projects I am certainly interested in the outcome, and in the effort to get these built. It seems from what you can gather by doing some investigation, that Z Cars makes a fine, well thought out and well built product.

Even though it would be a premium to get a kit here to the states, the thought of a bike engined Mini makes me drool!!! Oh, and by the way this guy is from Canada ... phew this time that it wasn't an ugly American

Keep up the good work, and the excelent write-ups!

Everything is progressing well...apart from photos..everything was in situ in the back and all the new front subframe ,wishbones and uprights have arrived . Waiting on the vented disk assemblies which should arrive this week.Once my friend has pre-drilled ,assembled everything then off to paint.
I hope to take it to Goodwood for the Revival.

no just the mini...the Canam was sold to fund a new business venture..it is now racing successfully in Malaysia

Hi Just discovered the the forum, im also starting to build a hayabusa powered mini but i will start my own thread, not hijack this one like the canadian did!!!!
Cant wait to drive it!!!!!!!

I budgeted 10grand for my r1 kit...
...and was about right

I've budgeted for 10k and already spent that..my one will be a little more expnsive because I 've used a new shell and not so many bits are coming off the donor car.

Im reckoning on 12-13 for mine, but that is every last nut and bolt etc but it will have carbon stuff on it (We like that a lot) plus a stack dash display, plenty of aeroquip and braided hose(comes in handy when your navigator/bezy friend works at demon tweeks ) as im only building it once and just weighing up alloy 4 pot's aswell at the moment as the metro's are heavy, seen sume on minispeed, not as flash a KAD's but they will do the job.
