No, Chris hasn't seen the finished car yet ...I will no doubt be calling in to see him with it in a couple of weeks.
I'm very very pleased with the outcome as it is exactly what I was trying to achieve...I've just got to source some nice door cards and mats to protect the paint on the floor (I live on a farm therefore can be plenty mud/merde to drag inside!)

a couple more piccies.....

You might notice the cross brace which has been added above the bulkhead for the 3" harnesses to create a much stronger tie down point

Looks a beaut!! ;D

Is your bulkhead powdercoated alloy?

Any pics of the R500 or have you sold it to do the mini?

The bulkhead was painted along with the shell and the engine cover was colour matched to the roll cage.
I sold my R500 about 4 years ago when I bought the Canam (which was built by my friend also).
I sold the Canam to help fund the business which I now run.

a couple of pics if you're interested..........

Fancy building a Canam myself, but no funds as yet need to sell my toys. Looked at the MNR Tytan though looks very smart.

looks neat.......do you have any reports on build or handling because a lot of BEC's look the part but don't quite come up to the mark on build quality or track capability

The Tyta is more big muscle car engine, i think there demo has an Audi V8 in it. But they are currently producing an LMP type car which looks like it might be a better choice.

should have similar performance to Radical SR8 then...nice one

Digidash Lite....ETB have delivered the dash again and there are still problems with the rev counter...they are coming to look at the unit in the car on Saturday...fantastic customer service sorting out a problem at Easter time !!

Got the car home today and been for my first spin round the block !!
Seeming I've got a quick rack and the lanes are pretty bumpy the car feels remarkably stable....it is also ages since I have sat in such a driving position for a quick car...the tyres touch the sills slightly over larger bumps and I got a tiny bit of fluid out of the radiator cap and also got to check the oil level again.;..it also seems there must be a technique of getting away in first without excessive revs or stalling !!
The reverse gear also takes some getting used to !!

I hope I don't have probs with the Pro unit I bought from my Z Cars Monte Carlo as I bet you money that good of customer service wouldn't extend to accross the pond owners....but the Pro is a newer model, so I'll corss my fingers.

Cheers,

Monte

Hi Monte, ETB products are excellent quality ...the guys tried the Pro unit on my car and everything worked perfectly...my dash was a pre-production unit which they have altered for my 2002 R1 injected engine...they tried 5 different dashes and all worked fine apart from mine....good luck I'm sure every thing will be 100%

I love the way the dash lights up on the the turn of the key to check all the systems...my one has lap timing and acceleration telemetry but I didn't go for the predictive timing
