quick update.

The engine is now fully stripped, ready for all the new parts :w00t:

now have 2 blocks, so probably going for a 1380, it will be cleaned and painted before too long.

Posted Image

I have rebuilt the turbo, it now has a new 10psi actuator, ported manifold and elbow and as you can see the turbo to plenum pipe has been modified to allow intercooler fitment. (the work on the manifold, elbow and plenum all expertly crafted by some friends at turbominis >_< )

Posted Image

the rest of my time has been spent getting the rest of the parts i needed.. need to fit this all to free up some space.

Posted Image

further updates soon... seems that all the litle jobs are taking far to much time.. as usual :w00t:|

I also gave the rest of the components etc a paint, ready for reassemble.

Posted Image

A few friends popped over to help out with the diff install, a new 4 pin jobbie from minispares, mated to a JKD straight cut box :dontgetit:

Posted Image

and tonight i just finished plumbing in the new master cylinders and lines.. also gave the bulkhead / subfarme a paint (first glimpse of the new color, still red, but a bit more retro i think)

Engine is coming on well now just waiting on a flywheel as mine was past its best.. a mate has kindly donated one for the price of a beer, should be with me soon.

Posted Image

these are the new seats from a lotus s2, need to make some frames for these but they look like they will fit in nicely, have John at specialist components to thank for those.

Posted Image

And finally i have been busy with the paint.. first sight of the new paint job (yukon Grey).. more will follow once the engine is out of the way and back where it belongs... bit of a change of direction but i think i made the right choice.

Posted Image

note the heat wrap for the brake lines

so making progress, hopefully the next update will be to tell you that the engine is in and actually works :teehee:

Just a quick update, made some more progress however everything seems to be taking ages..

Engine is now back in its home and almost plumbed in. Will try and fire it before I crack on with the re-spray.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Shiny new catch tank :P will fit this in the inner wing after paint etc.

Posted Image

Its getting there.... slowly.

Started on the body prep over the past few days, as it wasn’t too long ago since I last did the paint it will just be flatted back and any suspect areas exposed and repaired as necessary.

Half the car now flatted back, long lonely days sat in the garage sanding.. what fun.

Posted Image

And the prep for the inside.. Still work in progress. :D

Posted Image

The engine is now all in apart from the intercooler. And it runs!! :errr:
