GOOD NEWS!!!
Its in fitted and running!!!
I had a few clutch issues(other wise known as my own stupidity!!)
All sorted now and running well, played with needles and springs and got him somewhere near.
The new lump is very strong and pulls well, you can tell its got a light flywheel when you blip the throttle!!
Any way first off

OIL PRESSURE!!

Looks nice in the engine bay.
He's booked into Southam rolling rd on Thursday so will report back.
He is also stil on his "running in brakes" as I haven't got round to doing the 7.5 discs yet!!
However I have found the time to slip this on

How cool does the rack look?
I'm gonna be putting his white reverse rims back on and they should look fantastic with the rack.
I'm also going to give him a tidy up and fit the wing mirrors that Nige very kindly sold me!!
Hopefully on Monday my new Aldon Dizzy will be here as well.
Fingers crossed he all good.
I'm using him all this week to run him in prep for the rollers.
I want to get him running as well as I can before hand, don't want the rolling rd guy to think I can't set my own car up!!
Watch this space!!

Shifty, if you're loitering near WHS any time soon, there's a special feature on elfs and hornets in classic car weekly
OOOOOHHH!!
Cheers Pete, I'll have to get a copy of that.

Fitted it, along with the britparts electronic ignition kit, ran for 3 mins and then the electronic ignition kit burned out!!
It worked fine on Poos old dizzy, all I can think of is that the Britparts kit didn't like a coil suited for electronic ignition!!
All this happened the day before he was due to go on R Road!!
A quick trip to minispares and I'd bought an Aldon Ignitor kit, unfortunately there were a choice of 2 kits............Guess what........yup, it was the wrong one!!
DOH!!!!
So next morning it was another trip to mini spares and this time it was the right one!!
Onto Southam and we made it just in time, oh yeahh!!
Fitted the Aldon Dizzy and the new kit.
Colin spent an hour fiddling and fettleing him, and the result?

50 BHP at the wheels and 68 at the flywheel, not too shabby!!
The engine was still fresh so I'm hoping to improve on this figure.
I've now also re fitted his reverse rims and fitted a roof rack, will stick some pics up when I've cleaned him up.
Heres some pics of him at Malvern(and yes those are sportspack arches!!)

In some bizzare way I actually quite liked how he looked, oh and thats not his actual roof rack, I made that one out of card!!
Blue peter eat your heart out!!
