that i havent a clue david.

without ripping the box apart i couldent tell you dave, this is just what the previous owner told me, i thought it was strange.

but at least its a stright cut box, but its got helical drops >_<

the main was not centre strapped either so i put another cap on and the strap. probably not the best way to do it as i belive the caps are machined to the block.

ill know if i did something wrong if it goes bang.

he also says its a 3.2 diff but it seems like a 3.4.

when i pulled the head off it was a standard head, ive now put bigger valves in and ported the head.

Flyingears2002 if you have put a new centre cap on then you almost certainly need to get all three caps line bored so the middle one matches up with the other two. If not then you might find your engine going bang sooner than you expected :mmkay:.

Thx for the offer on the head mate but ive got an offer of one for sale in Aylsebury it was just the drive to pick it up i didnt fancy. If i was gonna come get yours i might as well go that little further and actually buy one. by the way how far from Ox is Aylesbury? Thx again

yer, but there is difference between a rebuild and building a new engine, if it wrecks the crank it could take the block and rods with it... and pistons.

torque is a rotantional force, without it you wouldnt be moving, explain how they can go so well?
