its was ultrasonically cleaned first, i was originally going to polish it but i would've taken me days. this type of finish on the rocker cover used to be fairly popular back in the 60's. I like it anyway

I would try and get some foam into those pods as well, not too much though, just to pad it out around the inside edge of the FG.
Only reason I say that is it resists air movement and in theorey fools the speaker into thinking its in a bigger enclosure...............
Try it with and without, but they do look good mister!
