And not a bad penalty?? Going from 8 points clear to 2 points clear, considering last years title race, its a potentially title losing penalty.

Stop and Go's and drive thrus will never be a good enough "punishment", I think they should fit a dvice similar to what you find on a ps2 game, like a pit lane limiter, which limits the engine to a certain amount of revs until the disadvantaged person has got past.

How I wish Senna and Prost were still racing, they'd keep the stewards busy.

if u watch (even tho i dont like hamilton) him being english was very clever.
if u watch over and over again you will see that he didnt take much pushing onto the over run.
if u watch the difference between the two speeds hamilton slows down for a split second as he gets back on the track and as kimi floors it hamilton is already on the gas way before meaning that kimi will overtake for a second but hamilton is going faster.
i can prove this because if u look kimis ferrari has beter straight line speed and kimi was on the racing line. and for some amazing reason hamilton was faster for 1 straight in the race.
and for the penaly they could have desqualified him from the race altogether. meclaren have payed the fia well

Its quite clear as he enters the corner that Hamilton can either hit Kimi, or go on the run off, any driver with half an ounce of talent and common sense would have done what Lewis did.
If Kimi goes past Lewis then he is accelerating quicker than Lewis, no two ways about it, thats simple physics. If Lewis beat Kimi to the corner then Kimi slowed more than Kimi in the run up to the corner, completely seperate to what had happened at the chicane.

The run off areas had just as much grip in the conditions (as we saw when Kimi went onto the run off araa earlier) and even if the speed was slower the distance covered would be less.
The smart thing to do would have been to wait as he was quicker in the rain anyway but that is just experience!!
