What do you guys think. Go or no Go

Speedwell badge/theme on my mini mk 3

idea would be a Smoke or dove grey mini with bullet mirrors, group 2arches, speedwell seats, gear knob, steering wheel, speedwell yellow head and red cage. ? maybe yellow cage .1800213_522568384507722_332356352_n_zpse

I was original going for a 70's race look, but the speedwell idea could be a great 60's-70's track day road racer look. ! :) even on a MK3 ?

Thanks ! :)

Looking good mate I would be happy with that and I would double check the bonnet also if you can, I know it means taking it off the spit but will be worth a look.

Thank you !

i have fitted the bonnet once, but i was not all that happy with the gaps. down near the grill there was only a very small gap. (around 3mm) but near the windscreen surround it was far form that. (around 8 mm)   - so I'm thinking little on grinding the wing a little where it meets the innerwing..

i don't have a pic of it. but i can take one later or tomorrow

The front end seems to line up very well.

Remember that the panel gaps were not brilliant fresh from the factory.

Keep up the good progress

Thanks :)

@ mk3 Cooper S, yes that right, but i can not remember how the gaps was before. but would you be happy with the gaps i got ?

and also i can't remember, if the A-panel had tree plug welds down along the door original ?

@bunyip. i will try to keep it up to date and i will of course finish it . :)

I would be more than happy with those gaps,

I always think that the shut line of the bonnet never seems to match the front panel profile but it sorts itself out when you add the grille and bonnet finisher.

Not sure about the Apanel welds. Post up a piccy as it may become clearer.
