nice looking wee mini, does your mini have the split braking system as fitted to minis in 1978? I have it in mine and I hate it

Cheers, I do have the split on mine mate I haven't really done much with the brakes apart from adjust and renew the fluid. Just had a look at your project, that is one beautiful build mate.

cheers mate
theres still a few things im not too happy with about it but time will fix those and if you ever get the chance I would recommend changing to the single line system, the rear brake cylinders are prone to seizing due to being a much smaller bore and may seize slightly at any point, theres been a few moments coming up to the lights, pressed the brake and its just wanted to pull quite violently to one side or the other, usually a few hard stops is required to free it up after

Engine update time. So imageshack have started charging, so Imgur it is from now on.
So I got the gearbox off and looked well.

Then I was told about looking a little deeper and saw this.

After some stripping we got the bearing out just to find to find out the spare we had was for the wrong shaft ![]()
But this is what it looked like

Also some general pics of the engine for you.

Also had my first of my goodies arrived,

a 12g202 head. Not really packaged very well if I am honest

Are the pictures working okay for you, they're all messed up for me, also the thermostat housing was from a 1100 engine, it was also seizes on and took a good beating to get it off haha.

So is that head from a Midget or similar inline A series? judging by the thermostat housing

To be honest I am not sure what it is off :/
Imgur really doesn't like me all the pictures have messed up again. I am going to start uploading with my phone for hopefully better results.
Anyway guess what is in the package. (If it works)
