IMG_20150327_182440_zpsckxzom5b.jpgHad to weld an extra bit on because it was rusted out

IMG_20150408_142837_zps2vwm55f0.jpgWelding is getting better

IMG_20150408_142751_zpstepnupva.jpg

Mini show in Gillford. Had a lovely run down some bumpy roads trying not to get lost to the BBQ.

IMG_20150406_111931_zps2pjwstpv.jpg

I fort it might over heat on the way down as it was 220 miles but cruised along with no problems :)

you have the same welder as me.

Looks like you need to work a little slower to get some good penetration on your welds

Good going though!

Ben

Yer that was the first time welding and the wire feed wouldn't work. The inner arch looks a lot better. And I have loads more welding to do which will hopefully make my welds a lot better.

Did you convert your Snap-Mig to euro torch?

I did indeed. So much better feed and cost nearly the same as what it would of cost to repair the old trigger.

Which kit did you use?

And was it straightforward to do the conversion?

I have the same welder and have been considering it for a while now but am going on the ethos of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' but really want to do it

You will need, torch conversion plate, new torch and gas solenoid.
I got my kit from eBay not the best place I know but came with good institutions and was quite easy to fit to be honest.

This is what I bought, and from same seller. 301549207748
