I was just going to say, before you put the engine in, measure the frame to check it is actually straight. The one on my van looked perfect but when we actually came to set the suspension up we couldnt get the caster quite right becasue the frame has a slight twist in it.

youll need to raise the car off the ground so that you can measure from datum points on the subframe, then compare the measurements to those in the haynes. if they are different then you need to bend the subframes back into correct form on a hydraulic press >_<

dont worry about it, if the subframe was bent beyond repair you would know about it by now. its worth doing a geometry check after a shunt, it could save alot of hassle in the future. the hydraulic jig can usually restore the original shape easilly, if needs be.

thats excellent, sounds like your making good progress. geting the welding done is a big hurdle down. is it just sanding and painting left to do now?

pretty much yehh, shouldnt be long now!

the bonnet needs drilling so the fastners can be mounted, engine needs a few bit put back on it along with plumbing/wiring, sand it down and paint it.

only concern at the minute, is when replacing the thermostat, one of the studs snapped flush in the head >_< somehow have to remove that and re-do it...

im also playing with the idea of a 6point cage

had to weld this in to raise the bonnet at the back as it must have sagged a little in the middle

i think the bonnet is slightly narrower than the average metal one, lines seem to be a tad bigger.
