Well I did 55 miles on Saturday and 50 miles on Sunday. Its just building a base for next season, when I can race.
You just got to build up to it. My best long ride was 85 miles at an average of 18.4mph. The advantage of being pulled around by a pro

Just like to add, before i used to have a little bike forum going on, covering all styles of riding.

After reading the fair few bike threads that are going here, i decided to pull my weight and get it going again.

The link is

www.mrange.co.uk

Like i said, theres a space there for all styles of riding, plus workshop help etc etc.

Its only been live a few days, so might find a few errors and what not but post them up and i'll get it sorted.

Cheers ta me!

After 8 years of BMX I'm branching out, picking up a 5 month old one of these tomorrow...(technically today since it's 1am):

Posted Image

I've wanted to build my own fixie for about 4 years but never had the time or money, and every time I saw a decent '80s Peugeot racer that would make a good starting point I lost out on actually buying it. So since my phone went for a decent amount of money on eBay, I've decided to buy a stock bike then hopefully upgrade it over time.

My initial plan is to overcome the initial difficulties with riding a brakeless fixie, then the 1st goal is to reduce home-uni time of ~15 mins on my BMX by about 50%, after that I'll start terrorizing pedestrians in town.

your keen riding one of them through town. i raced them for about 4 years, and although a lot of people do ride them on the roads, i couldn't think of anything worse.

just done a very cold 9 miles with puddles of ice where the trees had stopped the sun from warming the road !!!!!

was hoping to do at least 20 miles but i just couldent get any warmth in my legs and didnt fancy sliding the new bike across the road, so headed back home :dontgetit:

got back to a nice little parcel though  my Co2 pump :(

i went for quite a fancy design (sucker for a bit of bling  ) with a saftey lock. its compatable with threaded and non threaded cartriges and fits easily into my saddle bag. just hope i never have to use it :dontgetit:
