Wire Brush Wheel on a High Speed Drill worked wonders on my 4 pots, paint stripper is u/s if its been on ages.

PS - care using them stud extractors, if they break flush and tight you'll never be able to drill them out, use the left handed fluted drill bit method with variable speed battery drill (in reverse of course) its safer.

If you're stuck, send me a PM?

Yer cheers for the advice, going to leave it up to my Dad, then if he breaks them, he can buy some more :shy: lol, he said he has done it loads on his minis.

Fixed the Fiat, just needed new spark plugs lol.

Not got much done at all, since the last update, infact I've done nothing lol. But Mum has got me some lefthanded taps from work, so will give them a try on the calipers at the weekend. Can't find much time at the moment to do things. I've started a new job, 7.30am-4.00pm :D , so when I get home in knackered  but getting more money, so more to go on te mini ;) .

Well, spoke to my Nan a few days ago, and asked her if I could have the mini down at her house, and she said yes  . Thats good because its on some gravel so plenty of room. That should be going down there at the weekend.

Also Mum got me some left handed taps from work, tried them on the calipers, and still no joy at getting the broken nipples out.

No not really, I am bored with it now, think having a mini was an expensive phase, not sure what I am going to do with it at the moment. Not really got the time for it at the moment either.

I don't know, but nothing is set in stone, but is just rotting away at the moment.

Right, so been thinking recently about whether to sell the mini and the Fiat and get a better car. I told Mum and Dad and they said I should keep it because I have loads of plans for it and when the weather gets better, I will be out on it every weekend, so I'm going to keep it, get it down my nans, and get working on it.

Sounds good, winter months always suck to work on cars with a garage. Glad your keeping it.

Thanks a lot mate.

Well kind of a big move forward for me, the mini was supposed to go down to my Nans onto her gravel drive, but a bit a nice asking, and a lot of helping Dad out yesterday, I managed to get in onto the drive to work on it, so I don't have to travel all the way over to the other side of town to work on it >_< , so its looking better.

Well was kind of hoping for it to stop snowing so I could get a little more work done, but it has only got worse :D , so decided to do some work on the interior. I took the dash off to have a look behind it, and sort general things out.

Posted Image
This is how the snow started out, was hoping it wasn't going to get any worse.

Posted Image
Here is behind the dash, I also found my Ipod here, which I have been looking for, for about 4 months >_< lol.

Posted Image
Here is a little more progress.

Posted Image
I could do with another in-line fuse, but as a whole, the electrics need sorting out.

Posted Image
As you can see the snow has got worse :D

All I need to do know is get the top and bottom dash rains off, so I can have a good tidy up, but not sure how you do this, any help?

The bottom dash rail is a pull out job (be carefull it dont rip!)

The top one has 3 bolts in it one either side and one in the middle, undo them then with lots of riggling and patience it will come out eventually, taking the front screen out will make the job alot easyer lol
