Cheers mate, should be about 8.7:1 on the present engine, but not sure yet, depends what it can handle, but on the rebuild, might be a bit higher .

Well today was the day that I was ment to get the supercharger, but got a call from Morspeed saying they needed the inlet and carb pipe so they can modift the supercharger and tap the holes. So gave James (1275 SPRITE) as few texts, and he said he would be able to take the bits over today for me in his lunch brake, and I'll go over on Friday to pick it all up. So a big thanks to James fo saving the day again , some notes coming your way mate.

I've been thinking of a few things to keep me busy over the next few days, need to get the head off and that, get it all cleaned up and ported, get the carb rebuilt, get exhaust fitted properly, and maybe a few things on the inside, need to drill out a retap some holes, and need to decide on some sound proofing foam matting.

Until about late this year/early 2010, it should be ok aslong as I stick to low boost. What engines were they on and on what boost?

Well went to go and pick up the supercharger today, as I got there it was all layed out on the counter, but the only thing that wasn't there was the top pully that goes onto the charger. I asked how long it would be until it came and he said an hour, but I had a lad from work with me and it wouldn't have been fair to make him wait, so going to go back over tomorrow to pick it up.

So here it is people , the supercharger set up :

A nice Maniflow LCB .



The carb rebuild kit, bottom pully, belt and two head gaskets, but one of them is for a 1275 .



The whole kit together .



And I just need to find something to plug this hole in with something as I'm not using a servo.

All in all it looks like a pretty good kit at the moment, I just need to check the decompression plate is not for a 1275 as me and James (1275 SPRITE) have a little feeling it migh be .

Probs start putting some bits on it next week, going to get some of the engine ready tomorrow, can't wait to get it back on the road now .

new problems now
wheel bearing fixed followed by a drive home which uncovered a nasty noise and time for a new cv joint
