Sounds good mate, why don't you get some 1.5 roller rockers too? That would increase it too.

Got the carb off first, that is now in my room ready to be cleaned up

Then the rockers came off, soon to be replaced with some 1.5 roller rockers

Then out came these.

Then off came the head. But I don't think it had been off in a few years, as all the bolts were on really tight, and I had to get the big bar

All in all, the head was in pretty good condition, the ports were good and so were the valves, but I'm going to strip it all down on clean in all up, and might even put some double valve springs in too

And the head gasket seemed in pretty good condition too considering in seemed it had been on a long time.

And this is how I left it today

HIF 38 service kit
Silicon by pass hose
Cylinder head heater take off
Rocker cover gasket
Gearbox rod change anti oil leak seal kit.
That should keep me occupied for a bit

Got everything ready:

Then as I opened it all up, everything looked really clean and tidy, so I decided not to mess with it, and just leave it as it was:

So will just clean the carb up and get an air filter on it

Still needs a bit more work on the top of the block to get all the cr*p off it.
Also this came:

So I can get that on the carb when it is all nice and clean

As you can see, not secured the best

Soon got the whole lot off though, then I began to split it all up.
There was a magic pipe on the standard manifold, so I could have a big bore exhaust on it without changing to an LCB, etc

Its weird, I can't see what it would have caught on
On a lighter note, there were some things waiting for me when I got home:

A silicon by pass hose, heater take off, gear box oil leak fix and a rocker cover gasket.
And:

A tap and die set
So they should keep me out of trouble for a few more days
