And today, well, what can I say, I felt a bit better, and progressed with a bit of body work ;) :

Yep, shes de-bumped at the front now :) , took a bit of doing, but I got there in the end, liking how it looks now  . Just got to sand down the holes, fill, prep and spray. Hope it comes out ok :techsupport: , but we'll see :).

And that was it for today, as I went over to James' and did a bit of work on his, but check out his thread for updates :) .

Also forgot to mention, I picked up some etch primer, filler primer, clear laquar and a one way valve, for my washer bottle, from Halfords :). Also a good man that goes by the name James (1275 SPRITE) is taking my block into MED tomorrow to get it bored, skimmed, cleaned and get some new cam bearings put in it :) , cheers man  .

Well, the engine made it over to MED today, which is a good step foreward in the engine rebuild :D
Just need to source some +40 pistons so the block can be pocketed!!

Haha ok:

1. Will he also need the head to do the pockets, or just the pistons?
2. Will he use the old con rods?
3. What does that £260 include?
4. How long did he say it would be?
5. Will my mini be faster than yours lol :D , only joking.

Thats all I can think of at the moment :) .

Only the pistons required as he has a jig. The pockets allow clearance for a big valve 1275 head, so anything smaller is fine.
The old conrods will be used (if in good condition)

+40 bore £100
Pocket block £50
New cam bearings (S&F) £50
Chemical clean £30
Reface block £30

and no it wont be faster than mine haha only joking lol
