Only the pistons required as he has a jig. The pockets allow clearance for a big valve 1275 head, so anything smaller is fine.
The old conrods will be used (if in good condition)

+40 bore £100
Pocket block £50
New cam bearings (S&F) £50
Chemical clean £30
Reface block £30

and no it wont be faster than mine haha only joking lol

What do you mean by anything small is fine? I don't want anything small on my engine :) .

Oh right, I though the £260 was for the bore, bearings and clean, but that seems like a fair price.

You wish lol.

Also are you going to book Friday off? As I might and have a long weekend as get Monday off :D . Any idea how long it would be?

yeah, seems like a good price to be fair, as you know the work is actually going to be done lol
Sounds like a plan booking friday off, for a long weekend. Hopefully don't have to work.
Not sure about how long, he just said "he isn't in a rush is he" but he did say he would crack on with the bore though. But cant do the other work untill you give him the pistons :D

plus, he will prob fit the pistons to your rods for you if you take them down to him, if you get the pistons off him!

Just Scoland with Robyn and her family lol.

I could, but my bank account will only let me withdraw what I have in it lol  , and I have about £440 to play with this month, so with that block work at £260'ish, that leaves £180 :dontgetit: , until the 15th of May :dontgetit: .

I came down with an illness last night, some sickness thing, and had to stop reading as it felt like my head was gonna explode, so i read the last five pages this evening. I would lova a supercharger on my buggy when it's finished, but because it's half a tonne, if i achieve metro power it will be very quick :)
Keep it up mate,
Max

So heres the update people, and to be honest, I thought it was going to be better than this :errr: . So when I go home I thought I would get some of the front end primered and started, so here is how it looked after a bit of time:

Posted Image

I was pretty happy with how it was at this point  , and started to fill some of the holes in, then went for my tea, and decided to just widen the boarder where the masking tape was, but what a bad idea that was ;) , and this is how it has ended up now:

Posted Image

Well basically when I pealed off the bottom piece of masking tape, it took off most of the paint with it :) . So I'm gessing the guy that did the paint job for me just did it quickly as rshed it as I got it done on the cheap  . But now all I have to do is blend in the top paint line as there wont be a bottom. So might get some black paint on tomorrow, bt not sure yet.

Give me some comforting words please, its not going well ;) .

I think it's just man flu! Worse than swine flu! Judging by what you've done so far that is nothing to hard to do for you, and so what, a pleb did your paint job, just make sure that you do it properly! :) You're car will be awesome no matter what!
Whereas my car is just the spaceframe and a load of bits. I'm currently doing my "fast road" engine re-build. Self made stage 1 cylinder head mods, self made inlet manifold mods, 1 3/4 su, balanced stuff, 266 kent megadime cam, +60" overbore on 1275 A block, aldon dizzy, fast road clutch, 1.5:1 rockers, and the best of all, Gold engine paint!
Then it's gonna have adjustable suspension, disc brakes all round with golf mk2 rear calipers on the back, and all that jazz.
I will get it set up on a rolling road to get timing, ignition and fuel settings right.
Then i hope she will gooo!
Max
