I'll have to mess around with it an see what works, all that has been given to wire up the alarm is a simple diagram thats no bigger than my mobile, so its hard to understand some of it, and I think its been translated to english, so its not the best  . Might get a chance to look at it tomorrow.

The hazards have a constant feed that pulses through the flasher, give it a pulsing feed and it's going to go all funny. You just need to connect one brown wire to one side of the indicators and the other brown wire to the other side. There are a few funny wires on an alarm, but there all there for a reason, the brake light circuit is another way of triggering the alarm/ immobilisor I think, just incase they can bypass the door switches, put your foot on the brake and it will go off. I think.

Anyway car is looking good, and im very jealous of the s/c setup you have there.

Just come in from being on the mini, done a little more wiring of the alarm, the only things I'm still confused with are  :

1. There is a wire that goes to the "Negative trigger switch of side door", where does that go?

2. A wire that goes to the "Engine cut-off circuit", where does that go?

3. And the wires that go to the indicators, but where do they go? Because I don't want to connect each one to each of the indicators individually :D .

There is also a relay that came with the kit, but not sure what that is for? I will try and get a picture up of the wiring diagram soon.

Nearly there with the wiring now, once the alarm is in, just need to wire the speakers in etc, then solder each of the joints in the wire, then it will be all good =] .

Went out on the mini tonight, but it has really p*ssed me off, trying to tidy up all the wires, but know matter how much I cut or add, they don't seem to be getting any tidier :turtle: , also now thinking it might not see the roads this year :) .

Im not security expert, but I'll try help.

1. There is a wire that goes to the "Negative trigger switch of side door", where does that go?

The small door switches near the A panel, same circuit as the interior light. Attacth it onto this wire.

2. A wire that goes to the "Engine cut-off circuit", where does that go?

Don't know that one sorry, may be linked into the immobilisor if the alarm has one.

3. And the wires that go to the indicators, but where do they go? Because I don't want to connect each one to each of the indicators individually :P .

You don't have to wire them individualy, you said before that there were 2 brown wires, just connect 1 brown wire to the posotive side to one of the indicators on the right and one on the left of the car. Connect it to one indicator and it will power all of them on that side, as they're all linked together on each side.

There is also a relay that came with the kit, but not sure what that is for? I will try and get a picture up of the wiring diagram soon.

This will probably be for the immobilisor if the alarm came with one, I know mine did. Im not sure about your's but with mine once the alarm is deactivated it latches the relay allowing power to flow to the ignition. This may also be to do with the "engine cut off circuit" mentioned earlier, I didn't bother connecting mine up as it was just something to go wrong, but it's up to you. If you scan in your wiring diagram it may help people help you further. Good luck.

Right, well its about time for an update :( . After my mini p*ssed me off the other day, I gave it a rest on Wednesday, and then Thursday we had to go and pick up some chickens, so no work there, and then yesterday, I finally got started on the electrics :( .

After a lot of cutting, pulling, soldering and swearing, I got the engine bay from this:

To this:

To me that looks pretty good going, and once I got started, I really got stuck in. But the engine bay wasn't the main problem, it was the interior electrics :P , so from this:

To this:

Posted Image

Posted Image

It doesn't really look it, but it is a lot better :( . And it shows with how much wire I have cut and removed:

Posted Image

There is a fair amount there :o . Anyway, I should hopefully have that all done buy tomorrow, and when the electrics are done, I can get started on installing my new:

Oh yes :w00t:, two :o JBL subs:

Diameter = 10"
Sensitivity = 91db (2.83V @ 1w/m)
Power Handling = 500W (125RMS)
Frequency Response = 38Hz - 800Hz
Nominal Impedence = 4 Ohms
Mounting Depth = 116mm
Cutout Diameter = 229mm

They should be nice in the mini ;) , thats all for today people.

So, cracked on with a litle more work today. I went to start doing the electrics again, but I forgot that I had ran out of solder :P , and Halfords didn't have any, so I used up the last few little bits I had and that was it for the wiring today  . I'll get so more solder from Parkers or somewhere in the week so I can carry on with them :genius: .

So the I started going about making some new rear quarter cards. And after a lot of cutting and fiddling, they came out pretty well:

Posted Image

Posted Image

I am going to cover them in carbon fibre vinyl. Then I thought I would see if the subs would fit where I wanted them:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Turns out no  lol, so I am going to have one in the boot, if I can't find a place for both of them. Any ideas  ?

Note to self, when purchasing items, make sure they fit before buying  .

Thats all for today  .

Correct, they are the same ones :P

I've an idea where to put the other sub, in my car :D lol

Wiring looking good. Have you got any vinyl yet?

would you be able to fit the 2 subs where they are in the pictures but angled back so they point up slightly in a custom made speaker board?

No got no vinyl yet :X , hopefully soon, after I have made the front door cards :P . I thought about doing that, I will see how much they will have to be tilted up to fit  .

But also I think funds might be lowered a bit for a while as I'm going America next year and need to save about £100 a month to go :w00t: , but it should be ok, I hope :D .
