If you dont get the pin for friday, I can take it in for you on monday, because I'll be going in to pick up my nice new shiny flywheel
thats unusual for one of those to be missing, and I'm surprised the rings aren't on the pistons already.
Can't wait untill the pistons are done because that means the rest of the work can be done to the block, the pistons can then be fitted to the rods, and then not much else really needs doing, just a little work to the crank, a few other bits to be ordered, and then the engine will nearly be ready for building!! Cant wait lol.

Yer that would be great thanks, I was hoping to go over myself, and show my face as you have done all the work for me at the moment , but if it doesn't come, it doesn't come . Yer I know what you mean, then once the pistons are at MED, I'll start removing the engine and stuff, and buying more engine bits . Just want the engine now.

You might have to drop the pin at mine if it doesn't come before friday, because I'm at LeMans from wednesday to Monday, arriving back early hours monday morning in the UK, with college exams on the same day . But if you can drop it at mine, I would be able to take it with me!. Have you dropped Simon a PM about the pin?

Well went out and did a little more soldering of the wires, but soon ran out of the small amount of solder I got from college , also Simon got back to me, and he isn't in work this week, and told me to ring Mini Spares, but its too late now , so I'm going to just have to giv them to MED without a gudgeon pin, and they will have to get one, or reuse one.

If you give them to MED as they are and get minispares to send you one, by the time he has done the other work to the block, your pin will probably have been delivered. He has got lots of work to do to the block, and has to machine the pistons too, so he will probably be a good week or so doing the work.

I was thinking that, but they have to be just right, as the cowboys that did my insurance work put loads of different ones in the drivers side one, and some have broke off and I'm having trouble getting them out of the door, even with pliers .

Yeah, I agree. Make sure the MDF is nice and smooth as any imperfections will probably show through. Also no bubbles lol.

Yes, if that fails I will just cover them in black leather or something .
