You won't chip/scratch the pain if it always set it in the grass? O_O

Had a look at the ECU wiring today, took off all the tape holding it all together, as it branches out from the ECU, to the coil, etc. Wanted to re-route the wiring to inside the car, and mount the ECU behind the dash.
Problem is, there's wires going from the coil to the ECU, and then a few more, so i'd need to extend those wires and route them back to the engine bay, which I really can't be bothered to do! Just incase I get it wrong, and mess it up.

The reason for having the ECU inside, is basically so it won't get wet. Seeing as it was nicely tucked up and bolted the the inner wing, it never saw water! But now the inner wing has gone, so I need to find it a new home.
Was thinking about making a mount to fix to one of the brace bars, and have the ECU on there, then maybe just cover it up with a Tesco bag or something? Just to keep it water-proof...

What do you guys think?

I think a tesco bag would make more problems than it solves, you could make a neat splash guard for it though :D.

Little update.

FINALLY recieved my cheque in the post! So now I've cashed that in, just need to wait for that to clear, then I can start spending all my money!

Seeing as I couldn't do much else, I started working on my custom grill.
Ground all the rivets off the old one, pulled all the slats and surround off, then picked all the paint off. I was left with a nice and rusty grill backing, so I got the grinder/flap disk out and tidied it all up a bit.
Found half a can of red spray paint in the car, so I thought I'd brighten it up a bit!
Finished shot of the front:

I ran out of red paint half way through spraying the back, so I had a rummage in the garage, and found half a tin of white spray paint! So I finished it off with that. You'll never see the back, just needed to cover it all up so it (hopefully!) doesn't rust again.

Bit of a red/pinky/white mess!

Just need to either fit the top surround to the grill somehow, or get the bonnet with the lip, and bolt it onto that. Any ideas what'd be best?
Going to order some black mesh for it once I have money, and then have my checkered wing badge in the middle. :gimme:

Thinking about getting my Recaro seats covered in leather to finish it all off, but we'll see how my bank balance is looking after my christmas shopping is done...

Quality >_< I don't get my front flip until Christmas but I've started buying parts already :D I got £40 for babysitting last night so parts will be coming swiftly!

Do you know what the rules are about having side repeaters? I really don't want them! But I drive a 1990..

Got it from MiniSport. I get 3 Mini models too! >_<

Don't know the exact rules on side repeaters, all I know is that I have to have them.

You'll have to have them I'm affraid chap, mine is an '88 and I have to have them too. I'm thinking about putting mine in the a-panel instead of the front, but I'm not 100% sure yet.

I'm doing that with mine now. Figured it'd be easier to flip the front forward without the side repeater cables getting in the way...

Mine will be going upwards so I don't think I'll have that problem..

I'm also going for low, wide & fast.. once this flip front is done I'll be converting to 10" wheels I think. Are all your panels in good condition then? Things like the inner wings & the scuttle support panels?

A panels are fine. Well, one needs a bit of re-shaping as I bent it a little bit removing a wing. :)
Other than that, it's all good! Suprisingly I found no rust at all under the wings. Scuttle panel, etc is fine!

UPDATE:
Adjusta Ride Kit: Delivered!
Will have a go at fitting it a bit later. :)

EDIT: After a quick look at the Mini, it looks like it might already have Hi-Los on it! Which I didn't know! So that's annoying! Might just lower it on those to save hassle... Plus I don't have a spring compressor. :(

Sent the adjusta rides back, seeing as I already have some on the Mini! Forgot about the previous owner telling me about them... haha!

My bank thought that some dodgey transactions were going on with my card, so they stopped a few of them. Had to ring them and explain what was going on! Should all be sorted now!
Suppose they're not used to my account suddenly getting so active!
