Indeed!
Like the carbon fibre bootlid I bought off someone on here for £50!
That won't get fitted straight away though, I want to work on that. Get it on internal hinges, and then get some small numberplate lights for it. :)

It doesn't show the weave though, which I'd prefer. Get a nice light bootlid, without it looking tacky! :)

Another little update:

Recieved a few goodies in the post this morning! ;D
Posted Image
Black mesh, red bonnet pins, locking bonet pins, and the rubber hooks!

Hopefully tomorrow the flipfront will come, along with the MiniSpares order - Headlights, indicators, etc, and then I can get back to working on it!

Annoying problem though: I've either lost, or didn't get every part of the locking bonnet pins, as I'm missing the flat nut that bolts the locking part to the bonnet. :(
I have one for one side, but not one for the other!

Any way to take the one you have to a hardware store and see if they can match it?

More presents being delivered!

Posted Image
Bit annoyed though, I didn't know, and neither did the delivery woman, that the brace bars and hinges were in a seperate box to this! So that's now in a van somewhere.
Hopefully that'll get sorted out though!

Just waiting on my MiniSpares order to arrive now, which will hopefully turn up tomorrow!
THEN I'll start making progress!

Did it come with the holes already cut out?

Yes it did. I had to ask VERY nicely if they could do it for me, as I didn't fancy trying it myself.

MiniSpares order arrived! But I only have one headlight bowl, ordered a kit thinking it was a pair, but it's not! So I've just had to order another!
Started drilling out the holes to rivet the bowls in.
Problem: The rubber gusset that comes with the bowl is pretty thick, do I really need it? I know it's to stop road vibrations, but I didn't have any on before...
Is there an alternative I can use for it? I have several rolls of insulation tape?

I wish I had thought to ask, but it's too late as my front arrived today at Dads work!

Could you measure the diameter of the holes please mate? I'll make some card circles up so I can draw around them and cut the hole.

Headlights 165mm diameter, indicators 34mm diameter.

Holes are perfect size too! So that's definately right.
Drilling into expensive fibreglass is scarey... haha!

Right! Another update! Still no pics though, I keep forgetting before it gets dark. :D So sorry about that!

Got the brace bars on, which took longer than expected as I had to find tools in the messy garage, cut the bolts down, drill..blah blah. But they're happily on!
Trued fiddling around with the electric fan, and couldn't get it to sit happily without brushing against the brace bars or the radiator! So I just disconnected it, taped over the connection, and left it off! Might make a new bracket for that at some point...
Also wanted to get the front end on for a test fit, but due to me faffing about with the brace bars for so long, I didn't get round to it! Might try that on Boxing day if we're not doing anything... So sorry to 'theIMAGE' who was waiting for that! :D

I'll take some pictures for you to look at soon!

I got mine today as a present and it looks huge! What are you doing with the underside? I was thinking of covering mine in black stone chip.

I don't want to cut the holes out :xmas: scared I'm going to crack it! might just selotape my lights on top :xmas:

I didn't think about the underside! :shifty:
Might ask when my mate's dad sprays it for me, see what he thinks...
Getting the front sprayed for £180ish. Sounds good to me!
