Right then.....a very much belated update but better now then never as they say!

First off these couple of pic, simply because I can;
Posted Image

Posted Image

Now basically what I did was get the mini sent off to have it's headlining fitted properly as I didn't fancy doing this bit myself because I wouldn't get it spot on and it would annoy me no end when it's mean't to be perfectly crease free! I was very happy with the end result when it was returned...
Posted Image

Posted Image

Now then following up to this I decided that my mini would very much suit tinted windows on the rear 3. How very right I was IMO!!!
Posted Image

Posted Image

The only unfortunate thing is that my drivers rear window wouldn't fit due to the rear quarter trim not being cut down enough when fitted, I will ring the body shop up to rectify this.
Posted Image

On another note, you may remember that I opted for a heated front screen which has also been fitted, looks the mutts when you get up close.
Posted Image

For the keen observers among us you will have noticed a rear seat has been put in place. Yep I have picked up my interior! A sneak preview of one of the front seats before we fit them at a later date.
Posted Image

They are unbelievably comfy, they are actually comfier than my Seat Ibiza seats and there bloomin comfy as well! The rear seat is pretty comfy also, as demonstrated by my lovely girlfriend Emma
Posted Image

And if that isn't enough to convince here's one of us both. I do scrub up better, honest!
Posted Image

Another little update is that I have got my valve caps! Yes, valve caps. They look mega and complement the mini very well I think, any opinions?
Posted Image

That's all for now everyone, will be updated shortly with purchases to the nature of what Ruckus mentioned :proud:

A final pic for good luck

Cheers
Chris

On another note I am after a set of door cappings, not fussed what the condition is like as I'll be refurbing them regardless with something a bit different. Below is the link to my wanted ad;

I'm also selling a Genuine mk2 boot lid which is on sale on ebay at the moment, please feel free to help me out (and the mini fund) and bid! Link below;

Yeah, well pleased with the seats.

I personally wasn't nervous as the interior lads fitted it which is a nice job to avoid :proud:

Hopefully get down to the garage next weekend to crack on a bit more.

Time for another update :gimme:

Well yesterday I got round to finally fitting the petrol tanks and they look mega! Especially with the Aston caps :proud: Annoyingly forgot the camera though, so they will have to wait till next time for a pic. Also the necks of the tanks could do with a bit of a rub down and repainting as I didn't expect as much neck showing as there is but that's a simple fix.

Today's efforts was a bit of a high and a low to be honest but I'm pleased with what I've done. Started off with the pedal box refurb since I'm going back to the original setup now. This included sourcing another box frame as I had somehow lost mine, so a call to Dale off here sorted that. Rubbed them all down and gave them a nice coat of primer;
Posted Image

Then a top coat but it started raining, so could do with another coat ideally next time I get a chance;
Posted Image

Posted Image

Next job was the front drivers window which is where it all went a bit down hill. I had minor scratches on my front windows (I had sourced 3 different ones over the course of the project) and tried fixing them with a kit from Machine Mart, would it work, would it F*CK! So now I have 3 front windows, all with minor scratches but would still annoy me no end so gonna have to get a new one from Moss this week me thinks >_< Oh well these things happen.....especially when it comes to minis.

On a better note is my recent buying spree which has been very enjoyable but now have my bank account screaming at me "no more, pleaseeeee!".

Got myself a retro cigarette
Posted Image

Then more exciting things is my stereo setup :D

A Infinity Reference 5350a Amp, it's bloomin heavy!
Posted Image

Posted Image

Genesis Audiophile 30.01 Sub
Posted Image

Genesis P13 Mids and Tweeters
Posted Image

Set of 6 RCA to RCA leads
Posted Image

Under Dash Stereo Holder
Posted Image

And finally but certainly by no means least; a Pioneer DEH-P88RS-II!!! Looks the nuts :D
Posted Image

Posted Image

Then I've also bought an old Butlers Rally Map Light which I'm very happy with :kiss:
Posted Image

I shall update again next week now even if it's just to update with the Bingley Hall purchases :thumbsup:

Cheers
Chris

Thanks mate. I'm hoping this side of summer to be honest as long as uni doesn't slow me down too much, got a good feeling about it this year haha. Not all that much left to do, lots of bits though!

Been down to the garage again today; connected up the twin tanks to the fuel pump and also adjusted the tanks to sit a bit better as they were a bit *******-eyed when looking closely. I've also rubbed down, primer and painted the following; radiator bracket (went rusty previously, hoping the primer will sort that), pedal box retainer bracket and checkstraps. Also gave the pedals and actual pedal box and second coat.

I had a go at fitting the DSN Classics pedal covers also which look good, my only criticism is that they could do with being a bit bigger than the original as they don't completely cover the curve of the pedal, but I'm still happy with them, hell of a lot better looking than the original rubber covers. Another accidental fault was that they only sent me 2 nuts and bolts and that will only sort one pedal out but a swift phone call later and they sorted it pronto with the necessary bolts and nuts being in the post tonight along with their sincere apologises. Top notch aftersales service in my opinion :proud:

That's it for today's update, will be getting down to the garage again on Saturday.

Cheers
Chris

Do tell - Sat at home at the mo' with man flu so need something to cheer me up !

Knowing the car as I do, you have virtually everything and most stuff ready to fit so, you've either gone and bought another engine, but then again..........

My money would be more (very) high quality bling, sorry accessories, maybe around 10" diameter, come in a set of 4??

If you don't want to tell the world drop me a PM. :D

If I feel better later in the week, I'll give you a bell re coming over in the next couple of weekends.

Thanks for the pics, look very tasty, no doubt even better in the flesh, I look forward to the next visit :gimme:

PM coming your way now mate.
