Aye, love the little touches that make a big difference :gimme:

Yeah was originally going for 12's but saw to many nice minis sitting on 10's to pass it up really, GB's just take the classic design (minilite) and make it loads better in my opinion also :D With the frontend I didn't want it to look like a front flip, so external fastners were a big NO NO but I reckon it came out pretty well, just need to sort how the top of the bonnect meets the scuttle as there is a slight curve exposing a gap but I'm sure we'll sort that :proud:

The seats were trimmed by Ashley James Auto Interiors, they've been very good overall considering I ordered the interior year and half ago and only recently picked it up haha. But yep really pleased with them.

Right my new deadline (been a few of these now) is to get the mini done by my 21st birthday which I would like to think isn't a huge task considering how much of the build is left, just not sure how long the electrics are going to take as Steve is doing a superb job so it's taking a bit longer, but well worth while.

Cheers
Chris

Another update...

Further to my ICE purchases I have bought another item which is an ipod adapter specific to the Pioneer head unit as it integrates and charges the ipod via the unit. Bargain £35 as opposed to £70 + postage :proud:

Posted Image

An update to the pedals is that they're actually in now, fitted by my darling girlfriend with my assistance :D
First off the pedal covers drilled and fitted.

Posted Image

Then the pedal box fitted in place.

Posted Image

Then the column fitted in unison.

Posted Image

Posted Image

I also bought some DSN Classic items at Bingley Hall which I can't resist, including a coil bracket with a tight fit fitted by my gf;

Posted Image

And oil filter system;

Posted Image

Posted Image

I also bought a black bulk head plate that I have yet to fit.

Then I have also fitted my twin tanks which were no end of pain to fit with the fuel pipes and still needs fully completing to be connected to the fuel pump.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

I have also fitted my King Filter.

Posted Image

Then the exciting bit of fitting the Aston style fuel caps :D

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

And finally I have bought a car battery in preparation for the finalisation of electrical installation and also to be able to start the mini!

It's a little different to the norm, as recommended by Ruckus, an Exide Maxxima 900 DC which is normally used for marine application and comes with a marine price tag :lol: Should be able to comfortably run the engine and ICE.

That's it for this weekend, be back down at the garage next weekend no doubt unless it decides to snow again :mmkay:

Cheers,

Chris

Cheers Luke, I wish you were in the garage, love your updates mate. I just want to crack on with mine so much at the moment, want it done to drive for summer really, or at least a bit of summer, I've missed out on too much now haha.

Thanks Louis. Not fussed about the bluetooth one to be honest as I won't be able to hear jack in the mini anyway haha, thanks for the offer though.

Cheers

Yep, you would be right with the JA Pearce :-) Not sure what to do with them mind, got a set of 4. Could do with a nice spray but just not sure what colour, plus I need to find someone to do them.

Thanks SFM.

Since Ed mentioned about the Magnas I've been thinking about them and decided that I'm not completely convinced about whether they would suit my mini or not. I do love the GB's. So I've bitten the bullet and put them up in the classifieds;

If they sell, they sell and if they don't, oh well. I'll just have to refurb them and use them!

The things I completed this weekend already crossed off the list were these;
