Might borrow the engine crane from work to take the engine out on friday. I'll probably finish the boot off, coat the battery box in that tetra stuff you gave me

Might give the rear seats a quick flick over with a spray can, to cover the bit of bare metal.
I can then start to put the carpets back in, and the seats!!

Did manage to pick up a manual boost controller from one of the show stands

Finally enlarged the holes in the drivers rear bin to route the wires through, out of sight.

Then fitted one of the front seats back in. Also carpets back in.

Dashboard back in, speakers all back in place (except door speakers), all speakers now working and sounding lovely

This is the only visabe wire, which will be covered by the door cards once refitted

Here are the megajolt bits i picked up off ebay, just need a quick clean

Just a general shot down the side of the car (on axle stands at the front)

and lastly, a horrible hole found in the sill / floor

A big thanks to Dan for use of the drill, and for your help on sunday !

Yeah, tell me about it, there wasn't a hole there, just looked rusty, then started poking and that happened

Not good to find holes, but rather now than when its being MOT'd.

Sucked the oil out of the dipstick hole with a special vaccum pump tool from work because I haven't got anything small enough to fit under the sump.
Then removed the engine and gave it a quick clean. No pics today though, but I'll get some tomorrow.

Also nearly broke my leg when the engine crane fell over and landed on my legs lol

Looks like it should be a good fit either behind the grille or behind the bonnet with holes cut out. measures 600mm total length, so should fit nicely

Cut up the Saab intercooler pipe into 3 different peices to route the pipes around the servo and over the thermostat housing. Some custom brackets are needed to mount the intercooler, but the position I decided is behind the bonnet offset to the left hand side. Holes will need to be cut out of the bonnet to allow descent airflow through the cooler, so a normal number plate will be needed on the front valance.
I also removed the timing cover to find duplex timing gear, which is a good thing as it was part of the engine build from morspeed.
Not much done other than that, because I went racing again on saturday.
Pics to follow.
