A brand new genuine Metro Turbo fuel pressure regulator. Its got a boost pipe connector on it, so it increases fuel pressure as boost increases.
Cost around half the price of anywhere else new.

Going to start the engine build on Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

Took the block and crank to work and gave them a good clean in the parts cleaner!. Mainly to remove the dirt and the metal from when the block was honed.
Fitted the new Main bearings and the thrust washers, then dropped the crank in. Tightened down the main bearing caps.
Fitted the new cam followers and the new cam. Fitted the timing plate and that triangular plate that goes on the end of the cam.
Tapped in the new core plugs.
Here is a few pics!

I'm going to buy a piston ring compressor tomorrow and drop those in

Dropped the pistons in, fitted the oil pump and put the vernier on. Its only lined up dot to dot at the moment, not been set up with a DTI gauge to spot on timing. I phoned Tracktive Solutions today to see how much they would charge to set up the cam timing but they said they are too busy really and I would be better taking it to a mini specialist.

oh yeah, I forgot to bring home a 12 sided socket for the con rod bolts, so I haven't torqued them up yet
