I've got these, my engine seems too sit a teeny bit higher with them. Also a little tip, put some sort of lubricant on them when fitting the pin, makes it a little easier.
Looking good, im very jealous of your turbo setup.
Thanks for the tip

Not too far off now with the turbo bits, just a few more big bits to get.
awesome
be nice to see it finished now
Thanks

I've swapped the exhaust housing from my turbo for a slightly smaller one off a renault 5 turbo T2, as my housing has a different elbow flange to the usual Renault one, so wouldn't fit the mirage manifold without a custom elbow / flange making which I dont have the skills or equipment to do

So I sent my housing off to someone on Turbominis who is going to use it on his mini. Should recieve mine in the next week or so as he is on holiday.
Also helped Dan on his mini on Sunday, so hopefully he will update his as its not been updated for about a month.
edit : I took loads of pics of the min on saturday, taking them to show someone who used to specialise in mini bodywork in Burton on the Wolds, hopefully he will stick to his word and do it, fingers crossed.

I got it back on all 4 wheels and pushed it outside so I could sweep out the floor.

Stained the floor with brake fluid

I wired in the new gauges, and soldered the connections for the other gauges that I put in before, as I used bullet connectors before.

Note the position of the red toggle switch in the switch panel for the electric fan

Put the rev counter back in, and routed the wiring out of site, alot better than before. Not wired in yet though as its got to be linked into the Megajolt.

The AFR gauge powered up, just needs the signal wire connecting to the lambda sensor.

Got my new headlights through the post today. The crystal Halogen type. Need to get a couple of plastic bowls as the old ones are broken.

Also toying with the idea of mounting the MJ on the dash, and drilling a couple of holes for the wires and boost pipe.

Let me know what you think

Is that a wide or narrow band sensor? Was it you who saw my gauge and decided too get one, or am i making that up?
Either way its very very handy piece of kit too have.

Looks good, the toggle switch replaced the fluid test button?

Yes it replaces the fluid tester, both wires broke off the reservoir cap a while ago

Its narrowband unfortunately, but better than nothing. Well I saw the gauge on ebay, bought it, then posted a pic in here and S-F-M posted back saying you had one

Thanks for the tip Luke, and yes its a fair size really without the Mini in there and when its tidy

What bits you got? might be able to salvage something
Haha, erm not that much really. Most of it is old engine bits that are shot, and loads of foam that was stuck everywhere. The rest of it is just general rubbish really. I have got some standard headlights, and a spare bonnet though lol.

nice progress wiring always takes longer than expected but worth it when you dont have to keep repairing bits
Thanks

Yes you're right, it did take longer than expected, partly due to dodgy wiring on a brand new gauge which baffled me for a little bit!

Yes I'll definately be doing some videos

The dash was made by the previous owner, he was kitting out narrow boats at the time for a job, so he said he made it himself and covered it with leather.
Looks a bit different now though with the gauges in and with a normal CD player instead of the flip out screen it used to have in.

I thought about it, and I wired all the gauge lights into the same earth, which means its a series circuit (or series parallel) so I'm going to re wire the earths to seperate earth points which will reduce the total resistance in the circuit and give me brighter gauge lights!

They look really dim here, but they aren't as bad as they look

New headlight fitted to the drivers side. Blue sidelight bulbs come with them, but they are illegal and a bit chavvy

my favourite gauge

Brightness comparrison, new lights on the right
