Took delivery of some more bits today ;)

Metro Turbo Carb, with a laser cut needle valve instead of the standard one, and its recently been rebuilt.
'Nic' custom stainless steel Plenum chamber with dump valve take off and the Intercooler pipe mounted on the left for easy installation.
Mounted on a Metro turbo inlet manifold, with 3 boost take - offs on.

A quick pollish with autosol will bring it up like new.

I've just got to get a hole blanked off in the back of the plenum, where an air temp sensor was used by the previous owner.

It all came off Iain's Miglia turbo that he stripped for bits on TurboMinis.

Hope you like it!

EDIT : forgot to add pics :shifty:

Well the Mini has gone for a trip to Shifty Land for a month or so to have the bodywork done after a visit to Roofless' unit for Martin and Sean to have a good look around it to see what needs doing.

Its a lot worse than I first imagined, and there is a big long list of new panels needed extra to what I already have.

The list is something like this:

Front panel
2x Wings
2x A panels
2x Door skins
2x Scuttle strengthening panels
2x Flitch Panels
2x Door steps
2x Inner / Outer / half floor repair panels
Rear quarter repair panel
2x Boot floor repair panels

We also decided to fit a Turbo bulkhead box while all the work is being done.

Then back to Roofless for a respray!

Hey James, was a pleasure to meet you and your dad(and the brian james trailer!!!) today!!

The minis gonna be going into my neighbours garage tomorrow and I'll be ripping it to bits very soon indeed.

Its a bit of a list but is well worth doing, will make for a better car in the end!!

(Now where did I put my welding mask and plasma cutter!!)

Hi Shifty

It was a pleasure to meet yourself and Martin also
Thanks for coming to Martin's to have a look around it, and also for taking the Mini back to yours.
Dots mini is looking great, really great to see how good your work is in the flesh, cant believe the panel gaps, much better than factory fit!
Good to hear its going to be nice and warm at night, thanks!

Yeah its a fair old list, but like you said its going to make for a much better car at the end of it, and it's going to last much longer than if it was just 'repaired'.

I like your flame grilled welding mask!

Haha, you were pulling away from us even with the trailer on, its quick isn't it.

I cant wait either! Cant believe its actually happening now, its a big step foreward, closer to being back on the road.

It is cool, is it one of those light reactant ones, or a normal one?

130bhp, 6 speed, pulls like a train!! I actually have to watch my speed when towing, its easy to forget you've got a trailer on the back(especially a brian james!! )

Mask is a reactive one, ace bit of kit.
