My 1275GT has a vinyl roof although it ws more than likely an optional extra or an aftermarket fitment.

Is it like a darkish brown colour?
Aye I know it wasn't standard fit, I just wondered whether it is original or has been added afterwards thus making it non-original.

No my vinyl is black.
The car was fully restored around ten years ago I assume the vinyl was fitted then.

I see no reason to disbelieve him. BL were fond of the things 'n certainly put one on the Mini Special in 79. I honestly can't remember if they came from the factory like that but I can't remember handling any as parts. Flogged loads of Unipart spots 'n fogs though.
