A sneak preview of Dominic the Mini GT:

:teehee: :teehee: :teehee: :) :) :teehee:

that vynal looks like its been fitted via a specialist and not by the factory as there does not seem to be a seam on either side as The 1100 specials had ............... :teehee: ...........But I could be wrong.............. >_<

Is it an Austin Healey? It looks more like a Triumph Spitfire to me?

That Cortina MKII is earlier than a 1973 model, because I believe the MKIII Cortina got launched in 1971.

Very nice looking Mini though.

Now you have given the asking price away.

Looks like he has some nice cars for sale.

If you read back, you could work out how much I got it for :)

to be honest I paid very close to the asking price but he's put 6 months tax, sorted the brakes and put two new tyres on it too. And it was already reduced from 3995.

I will post up photos of the usual rust spots and you can tell me if its worth it!!

Its deffo a GT, I put the plates through an HPI check and it came back as an "Austin Morris 1275gt!

I'm sure I've seen other GT's that colour, actually thinking about it a mate had a white w reg 1275gt as well.

Does that reference from the same place as the logbook?

I spoke to my local mini specialist and he said that it is actually possible to change it on the logbook to a GT from a mini?

But someone else told me you can only change engine size, colour etc not the actual make/model. Because the make/model can't be changed

Clarification would be nice, I am confident he is a genuine GT though :)

1275gts are marked down on the log book as "Austin Morris 1275gt"

I got info from a HPI type check,I would imagine they get the info from DVLA.

I'm not sure what you can change on the V5 now, having the correct "Austin Morris 1275gt" description is a very good sign.

People who fake them usually forget/don't know about this!!!!

Spoke to the DVLA for clarification.. the only way the model can be changed on the logbook is for the manufacturer of the vehicle to contact the DVLA and change it, because the make & model data came from the manufacturer in the first place when it was first registered

So it isn't possible for it to not be a GT :)

I used to have a W reg 1275 GT in JPS colours tho - definitely marked on the log book as shiftyseamus says,

I've defintely seen one in white before but not with the vinyl roof.

I didn't think Clubmans and GT's had a different colour palette? But I could be wrong.
Our project GT on the mag was a white one before its BMH re-shell. I also have a white GT (see avatar) but that's a much earlier one (1970)
I would guess this one is Leyland/Ermine white, but the pic has gone so I can't tell!
