Wow this is great. Makes me feel really bad though. All I have to do is sand some rust off under my head light then paint it. This has taken me 3 months. Youve done all this work in no time atall.

Wow - fantastic work!

That's some super fab & repair work there; you'll have half of TMF asking for welding lessons or work to be done!

In the pic of the four panels shown here I recognise the BMH A panels, but what's the left-hand one for (the bare metal panel lying nearest the crossmember)? Can't work out the shape!

Cheers,
Steve

The left most panel is the upper A post to repair this part

Once the car is complete I'll be happy to assist people with welder training etc

Ratty that looks amazing. Hopefully when you finish this one you can stop working for a while and enjoy the fruits of your labour!
What strikes me as amazing, is that she had all that rust but none in the battery box. This is the first place our Australian Minis rust!!!
Will be watching this thread with great interest... Thanks )

Looks good, did you just clamp all three together and spot weld it? (dash rail/bulkhead/scuttle)

Sort of, the dash rail was fitted first but only tacked on with 5 spot welds along the window opening, then the scuttle was added and all 3 edges spot welded together
