Im sorry but there is NO excuse you may not care about yourself or your car, but at least consider others!! you could have killed some one, does that not even bother you in the silghtest?????

Its not like he drove with no brakes, he did at least have 3 fully working brakes.

i doubt he would have driven it if he had to use the hand brake to stop.

its nothing like as dangerous as driving with a bald tyres, and lets face it, there are an awfull lot of cars out there driving with bald tyres.

As soon as that caliper finaly tore itself apart it would have poored out fluid, resulting in no brakes.

so a ralley driver has a crash on route but needs to make it to service the car has 3 wheels theyre drive it 25 miles to the service point and theyre ralley drivers

my caliper lodges between the wheel and discs and im the biggest problem with this country seriosuly people no the people who drive without a lincense, or no tax, no mot, no insurance, undeclaired mods, ect

See now I know virtually nothing when it comes to cars, but the one thing I can say is that I always know when something is wrong with my car even before so called "professionals" do. And at the slightest wrong sound I pull over and call out the recovery people. I even had them out once to put WD40 everywhere as I had forgotten to bring some with me and the car was struggling in the down pour.

It's just not worth risking it even if you don't know what's wrong get them out, it's what they're paid for! I'd rather call them out for something stupid and look silly than not call them out and risk mine and other peoples safety.

Good piece of advice - I'm with IC Breakdown, pay £29 a year and get unlimited call outs and they'll take me wherever I want to go, I would highly recommend buying it.

at the end of the day he could have KILLED some one, its just stupid and irresponsible to carry on driving when you KNOW that there is a serious or potentially serious problem at fault!!! he could have orphaned children and your pretty much saying that its fine cause he had 3 working brakes!!!! it was of course Very Very stupid what you done, i dont even have a license and i know this. But as it has been said everyone makes mistake, and maybe if you thought before you posted this topic u might no have put this topic up at all.
I do find it very sad that everyone continues to put a point accross about 40 times when sean has clearly admitted that he is an idiot haha, sorry sean *giggles*. I also find it very funny that on an internet forum, where people are supposed to share view and by this i mean *helpfull comment* does anyone of you find these comments *helpfull*. I dont think that belittling someone is the way to help someone do you ?

its a point of principle, you could have died to day, that bus was only 2ft away, and heading striaght for you.

Do you drive yet? Any idea what having 3 working brakes means? Yep, one DOESN'T work, which means the car violently pulls to one side. Stop trying to dig out of the hole, its only making it worse. Same goes for you, SFM - trying to justify yourself is only going to make you look a bigger fool. Although I'm fairly confident my sage advice will fall on deaf ears.

I think it is almost entirely a personal dig at saxo. His postings throughout the forum consistenly paint him as some kind of 'guru' of all things mini and mechanical. It gets peoples backs up, and tonight has been a superb opportunity for people to gloat and relish the fact that he clearly is not any kind of expert, knowledge base, or technical genius.
