Well this is wwwwwaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy overdue an update.
Well since i missed the trip to nurburgring deadline, the mini just sat untouched in my workshop for about 6+ months looking sorry for itself.

I then finally managed to get my ass into get and got on with prepping the shell and finally decided on the final colour:

I then managed to give the shell a splash of colour:

Then after a couple more weeks i got round to painting the roof:

Looking complete in one colour for the first time since i have owned it

I then finished off the exhaust manfold so its now sitting really close to the block and this means i can get a good size fan behing the grill, the old one worked, but i just wanted something a bit more robust, and not a cut up old mini fan lol.

I then painted up the rear arches and got them fitted and as it was sunny i decided to take it outside for a quick photo, if only i had a good camera

The finally the i painted the front arches last week and got them fitted, unfortunately i only have a really crappy picture of them fitted but atleast its getting closer to being completed now.

The only thing really getting me down with the whole project is since parking it up after missing the nurburgring deadline, it wont turn itself over very fast atall off the starter, but will spin over great with all the plugs out but as soon as i put just 1 plug back in it goes super slow again. Iv 100000% ruled out a poor earth and power feed now and iv tried loads of different starter motors so im at a bit of a loss with it now???
Im off to spain for 2 weeks on Sat so when i get back ill have another look at it, but its looking like i might be able to start using it soon

Well looks like i might be getting a job out on a ski resort for the winter, so that might well be the end to this project.
So if anyone is interested get in contact with me, but please dont contact me with trying to get it for silly money considering this is a rust free clubman estate sheel, with everything there to have a running k-series engine, just needs the starter motor problem sorting out and the interior tidying up.
